About Me

I was Glumbertized in early summer of '07...watched and read a while before posting. Live on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Had a career in healthcare Human Resources, now retired. Widower (after 32 years of marriage), remarried to a widow (after 17 years of marriage)...she is quite a bit younger than I. Have 5 adult kids, and two adult stepkids. Is this more than you really want to know? Finally...I know all the words, but don't admire the use of vulgarity at all...the curse of a recovering English major (reformed via an MBA). Devoted New England sportfan...Sox, Patriots, Celtics, Bruins. And dammit, Sam Adams is a great beer !

Thanks for your note about the picture. I'm really not very good at describing art. I'm kinda just drawn to certain images, but I have no idea why? If I had to comment on this painting I guess I would suggest a certain element of anxiety and madness. She strikes me as a little vulnerable. I kinda picture her in a low security asylum or in the attic of her sister's/Aunt's/Mother's house. I dunno, I have other things stirring in my heart but I can't articulate them. No Chaz. I live on an island off the west coast of British Columbia. All anyone can talk about around here is salmon and halibut.

Went out on Saturday, got a big, flat, ugly bugger of 135 pounds. I'm told that's a small one.

haven't got a clue who painted it, but my Aunt Jill and Uncle Bob gave a print of it to me as a Birthday present when I was 12. I have loved it ever since. Nice to know you. Luv, Nik
