It's called a Hang Drum not sure of it's origins.

Loving the sound. Hooray for weird instruments; what I want to see now is someone playing the glass (h)armonica.

I'm considering buy one of these. from what i read they are rare and you may have to travel to switzerland to get it. Unless someone sells you there old one of course.

Mesmerizing...I loved the sound. Sorta hypnotic and very relaxing. I'd love to have a CD of this type of music. The guy who's playing the hang drum is awesome!
