...yesssssssssssssss! A union of equals devoutly to be desired.
Artsy stuff like this is always interesting...and I often think when I see such originality (outer edge ideas) if the artist might later find a niche he/she can mine for a profit. Would hope so. Meantime, I'll stick with wallpaper.
...meant the prospective union (misuse of that term to be sure) between fof and douchebag...Darwin might operate in civilization's favor here...the progeny would clearly be too stupid to survive, and their defective genes would finally come to a thankful ending.
...two buck chuck ?.....syzygy, I knew one person who used this eclectic nom-de-plume. I don't suppose you are him...but where did the $2 moniker come from?
I am not the person you seek. The "TBC" vernacular came from Charles Shaw Chardonnay, adequate for table wine and won't leave you gagging, selling in the US$2 region.
I knew someone with that id a while ago. It is not a common moniker. Enjoy your infrequent postings...thoughtful, I note.
...would like to know if you are he of l'ottbergh identitiy, referring to a former medical reality....and excusing, of course, my inaccurate recollections. A yea in any way would suffice. A nay in any way as well is the negative that works.
A non response? Ah...this is just the same as a nyet.
Not to worry in any event.....just trying to touch familiar bases, if that is what it isl
Actually, not enough wine today yet. But I'll start to correct that soon.
Been to the Chardonnay region in Bourgogne a couple of times...no $2 wine there at all. In fact, it is quite a small area, and the locals produce young wine for immediate drinking (i.e., a year or two old), and we loved it, and them. Still have a couple in our chiller. Looks like they export the best stuff, or at least the most popular. We totally enjoyed our Chardonnay purchases while there, and they were more like $8 or $10 per bottle...worth every penny, plus more. Bought a bunch via a local retailer, then bought a few more directly from a local vitner...both wonderful, the latter a good deal less expensive. What fun!
Charles Shaw is a US branding, hence the "$" reference. Chardonnay in the US does not follow appellation controlee of the old world that you were privileged to tour, and generally ends up with the blended-white taste equivalent to the red, US, Merlot - palatable, but preferred only slightly over Kool Aid(R) Scary Black Cherry. I feel lucky (as you) to have lived in a wine valley and to visit other wine areas on a whim. I wish everyone to whom wine appeals could have the chance to do the same. A weekend of Rothschild wines, Davidoff cigars (and I'm not a smoker), blued steak, armagnac and cheese - the kind that repulses and attracts senses of taste and smell long-since put to sleep by the daily, bland diet of home... the memory takes my breath away. I anticipate, with childish glee, my next chance to park my wino carc-ass at a street side bistro, to sit, drink, watch, eat, and drink some more (responsibly, n'est pas?). Unimportant are the events, grand are the pleasures.
