What fun ! Laughed all the way through, much of the time thinking it was a Monty Python lookalike...then finally seeing it was French.
Loved it.
Also, have learned to love French people (not necessarily their leadership...sound familiar?). They seem to have an innate ability to astound in things from the kitchen. And are inveterately warm hosts. And laugh freely at themselves. Love 'em.
Drivel. How anyone could compare this to Python is beyond me. The French and humour are not easy bedfellows. Jacques Tati? Marcel Marceau? For Christ's sake. Give me a break.
arseface - not hard to compare. python was absurd humor and so it this thing. you must be english so you are nit gonna like anything french anyway, right? i thought this was damn funny.
I like lots of things the French have to offer - beautiful women, stunning architecture, glorious food, marvellous language. Unfortunately, shit humour.
British - average architecture, ugly women, appalling food. Sublime humour.
Arse - I agree re the French and will take your word on the Brits.
A couple of years ago there was this pair of large British women who did a cooking show on TV...I thought they were great (I think it was called "Two Fat Women", which would support your "sublime" humor comment). Always thought English cuisine was an oxymoron, according to all that had been said and reported before, but the food these women put together sure looked terrific to me.
