this is ludicrous. not only does it fail to properly depict the events of tiananmen square, but it only communicates that this was an event in which a lot of people were killed in an epic amount, which is in itself a blasphemy to all who died here. stop using mozart to make your point sound more important. especially when considering that this event is far more emotionally stirring than any overused aria could ever be. this is the kind of propaganda that makes stupid people think they're smart and smart people think that they're infallible.
This shows just how things that seem simple become rapidly more complex and change history. The martyrs gave their lives for the freedom that the people in China experience today. Of course it is not perfect, nothing is. It is surely better than before.
Now lets fast forward to Berkely California Feb 12th 2008.
Tolerance for a difference of opinion? I think not. A Dictator council controlling a police state in Berkely? 'Tolerance'...So long as it does not conflict with the opinion of the Intolerant, "THE COUNCIL". I see a few strange similarities here. It has not escalated to this degree, in our USA ....yet.
