Pardon a new voice but I thought the story was almost artistic. It made me think of that song a long time ago. I think it was called "is that all there is" and it was kind of sad, but also a real deep look at life and all its bells and wistles.
Dont mean to piss off anbody but thats what I think, and drivel is not what I saw.l
pod - he has a certain quality about him, I agree. But am I off base thinking that he's little more than a young and relatively well spoken US basher, a srt of cross betwee Jesse Jackson and Malcolm X, like a junior version....at the moment not calling for an overthrow of the US leadership, but already denouncing whoever succeeds GW (just another "politician").
FEMA concentration camps, indeed. Here on Cape Cod over 100 families left homeless by Katrina were housed, fed, and cared for until they could make more permanent arranngements. We were not alone in that caring endeavor, as many offers from around the country gave these victims places to go to recover, and to plan...but such selfless acts of assistance apparently escaped this young man's attention/respect.
I don't know precisely what he's referring to as "concentration camps", so just assumed he referred to the temporary accomodations these poor displaced families were offered. He needs to distort that reality in order to make his specious pronouncements, I think.
The Katrina aftermath, like so many other high profile gaffes, was bungled by our leadership...still, enormous support efforts were made by an unending littany of private agencies and support services. This young man is not of a mind to credit those positives.
Hopefully, his spleen-venting will be satisfied by self-promoting videos on YouTube, and we'll hear no more from him elsewhere.
Do I think the US is building camps for some reason and some purpose? Well not really, possible yes, considering the civil unrest that is going to occur when the economy collapses.
I just sort of like the guy for some reason. I think he would be a interesting guy to have as a neighbor. Most of the people I know are kinda soulless zombies more concerned with Crabgrass, and the price of gasoline.
