No way, Star Wars was way ahead of its time. My kids loved those movies today. And I don't care if that makes me a geek. Its just the fall of the roman empire, with spaceships.
Ok, the plot was completely repetitive, I mean two death stars destroyed in 3 movies? What the dark side can't do a fucking FMEA after losing the first one? And Jar Jar Binks was completely fucking gay, and should have died a horrible death.
Star Trek, while actually more believeable, is infinitely more gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Seeing as how you've got Anakin, "the chosen one", born of a virgin, seeing as how Mos Eisley looks like Jeruselem/Bethlehem, and seeing as how stupid people all over the world love it, you would think Star Wars would be adored by people like Stream-O'. The part I love is when The Chosen One goes to the dark side.
Yes redshift, there are lots of Judeo-Christian elements in Star Wars. Also western themes, hero and anti-hero themes....I will readily admit that I love Star Wars, as do my two children.

And I caught your slam, but when watching movies with your kids, the level of enjoyable movie stupidity goes down considerably. It was either Star Wars, or Barney.
