What are you an alien? it doesn't have to be real to be funny. There has been plenty of movies that I have seen, that most people consider funny. As far as I know, they were not real.
hossrex is right... Thinking it was real, and actually happened on the live news is what makes the whole thing hilarious. However, it didn't, and thus is not nearly as funny as it would have been.
Sketch comedy has never EVER been funny. It's just not real. Not the slightest bit funny. I used to think the Superfans da bears show was funny on TV until someone told me they were just acting. I was so pissed, I had to go back and unlaugh all those times because it wasn't the slightest bit funny anymore.
(I do agree that it is a bit less amusing knowing that it wasn't part of an actual newscast though.)
How can this not be real? Live TV broadcast..."breaking news"...etc., etc. TV personalities are infamously vain and go to great lengths to avoid appearing anything but competent. This was simply an unfortunate event for him, and a guffaw for me. Not hillarious, but a moment of HAH HAH! Hope he's OK.
That is so phony. I barely cracked a smile when it happened. The sound heard can be recreated by punching a stop sign. As kids, we used to run, jump and try and see who could touch the highest part of a stop sign while punching it to make a loud sound. If you hit the pause button at the 2 second mark, you will see him wince but his head is clearly not touching the sign yet you still here the sound of him hitting it. That sound can only get generated hitting the sign, NOT the pole. With a name like Chuck Storm, What are you expecting?
okay seriously folks, how could anyone fall for this? granted, the guy is totally cute and is prolly trying to get his face out there but CHUCK STORM????????? come on now, the name alone is a dead giveaway unless hes looking to star in porn.
Wow - too many serious dead heads here. This was funny and I am still laughing. Comedy is comedy. Some sound like boring (think they)know-it-all Politicians. Not funny? You would have to be the most boring person on the planet not to laugh. I'd say step away from your pc for awhile and look outside to see if it's daytime or night. That would be a start. Lighten up. If you hate these that much don't watch it.
I thought it was real..until I started to real all these comments. Now there is a little doubt in my mind. There would be a way to tell for sure...just find out what station Chuck Storm works for and see if it is actual footage (edited of course). I'm thinking it probably is. If it is not...what else is in the footage? surely this 7 second thing wasn't the only stunt, maybe there is a whole movie of camera man bloopers...hey that would make a good video..."Americas Funniest News Repoters"
This was for real! I don't think he would've wanted people to see this, knowing they would laugh at him. It really sounds like he bumped himself pretty good, the poor guy.
8 seconds of phony video that might have warranted a 2 second snicker if it weren't so obviously staged. I wish i could be so easily entertained as some of the people above. Then i could just spend hours gazing into my own navel for unlimited whimsical hilarity.
