pms we wear long under wear and something you guys haven't discovered ,
warm toasty toe socks ,HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
and besides i go to Guatemala,Aruba ,Mexico, Florida and other parts south at least once a month during the winter .
At this stage of my life cycle I am supposed to find happiness and for me it is warm temperatures when its freezing in Toronto.
Buffalo, N.Y. is usually 1000x worse for winter weather than, say, Toronto. Same goes for Chicago and most of northern Michigan. The folks in those locales are unfortunate enough to be subjected to "The Lake Effect" because of their geographic positioning, resulting in more severe snowstorms and colder temperatures.
Thanx C, yet somehow that doesn't make it any easier, and speaking of the "lake effect"....
A few years back, Miter packs gear and boldly goes "up north" to his Traverse City area acreage (Torch Lake), the infamous "snow belt", to do some winter camping with his "gang". Not being gluttons for punishment, we decide to make camp in the lowest area of the property, at the opening of a deep ravine for protection from the wind. That evening as we stand around our nice hot fire, built on top of around 6 feet of compressed snow and sinking fast, it started to snow. Small dust like particles at first, then a full blown, white out, inches an hour type lake effect snow. The heat of the fire was melting the snow on us as it fell, as if it were a pouring rain, we furiously finished our uptake of antifreeze and hit our tents. The next morning I awoke to find my tent appeared to be smashed down on me...it was snow, a LOT of snow, 42 inches to be exact! We checked the weather to see if anymore was coming, and it was, an Alberta Clipper was on its way, with minus 20f temps and wind-chills in the minus 60's, with additional accumulations of 2 - 4 feet...we went and got rooms in Traverse!
My profile pic shows us just before dark that night....
What I make of it hardly makese sense, but then, most "sayings", taken literally, rarely do.
And so.........it's by way of doing unimportant things that one becomes unimportant himself".....damn, I wish I knew the language better...I am embarassed by my inadequacy vis a vis real life conversations.
