This puts me in mind of the time I auditioned for the lead in the boxing movie "The Cinderella Fella" about the great 1920s fighter James Craddock. (Of course, the Australian actor Russel Finch got the part, but I did try out for it).
I spent six weeks in the gym honing my physique and sparring with a couple of old pros so that I'd impress the producer. I was in tremendous shape when I finally made it to the screen test, but unfortunately I had a cold and kept sneezing just as I was about to deliver my lines. The producer said I was "a sorry excuse for an actor" and was "wsting his goddam time", so I decked him with a left cross. I think that went against me, but, for whatever reason, I was turned down. On the bright side, I did get a blowjob behind the set from Renee Schwarzenegger, who played Craddock's wife. She said I reminded her of her late father.
