LOLOLOL!! That usaranger is most ironic my friend! And since you are jumping w/ fellow comrades of our armed forces then you stand exempt from my parry.
semper fi,, Ohhhraa Sorry dude only cry I.m allowed to shout!
Attention all those on Glumbert I basically get along with:
I'll be absent for the next several days, because we got that kind of dreaded phone call at about 1:30 a.m. that means usually bad news. We had a death in the family (on the wife's side). Things are not that happy around here. We're heading out tomorrow to board a flight for the U.S. Midwest, to attend the funeral on Saturday. Normally, I've always enjoyed my visits Stateside, but this is one trip I definitely wish I wasn't making. Anyways, I'll see you all in a few days, my faceless, ethereal friends. Adieu.
Attention all assholes that I do NOT get along with:
Here's more personal fodder for you to use at your whim and fancy. For I have no doubt you will, and you'll probably enjoy it to boot. Like I give a flying fiddlers fuck anyways. I'm only posting this because of the aforementioned folks as it is. Adieu.
(walks quietly to the door, suddenly does a half-turn, as if he might say something as an afterthought....but then shkes his head, and slowly turns out the lights, and gently closes the door)
planettint is correct; this is in Toronto, and I saw this item on then local news. Near the end of this clip, do you see that park up at the end of the street? Well, that's Trinity Bellwoods Park, at Queen St and Dovercourt Rd., just outside the Parkdale neighbourhood where I grew up. Got polluted after many high school dances in that park (even once during a late-night blizzard).
C- So sorry for your loss. All the best to you and your family. Don't worry, we'll keep the chickens in the henhouse riled up for you to play with when you return.
I don't know what to say, but give your wife a big hug from me and take one for yourself. I sat for a moment and still don't know what to say.....sorry for your loss. Nik
Although I can be an asswipe, I will not laugh or ridicule the passing of one's family. It is not a funny topic as I would not want poking fun at me in this area. My condolences to you and your family.
*Sticks out chest. Brushes it off. Bows up.*
Randall, damn you! You still haven't answered my question. You want some of this bitch?
this a comment on canucks comment sorry bout 2 things 1 your loss have a safe trip and 2 that lived by there lol i lived closed by myself once upon a time and have moved on to bigger and better now THE DIRTY SHWA LOL and on the video how many police does it take to stop a pedaled powered buick ONLY IN CANADA LOL
Amidst my feelings of sorrow for canuck's difficult situation, I am glad to see it bring adolf back, if only for a moment. As could sometimes be the case, there is no clear cut path to either depair or feeling happy, but on rare occasions the two happen together. Life is so random.
One time, years ago, I was in despair, and laughing wildly at the same time. I was despondant, thinking about the loss of my first husband. At the same moment I was grieving, something happened that made me certain he was with me at that moment. I was laughing and crying at the same time. It was weird. And I think the only time in my life I can say I was absolutely miserable and unbelievably happy at the very same time.
While anyone posting on Glumbert can't compare to a very personal loss (as canuck most certainly is aware of right now), there are correllations in certain circumstances.
Adolf, is there any way you would feel inclined to show yourself as one of our other respected posters? Obviously, you know we all love you.
freetobe... you have written "there is no clear cut path to either depair or feeling happy, but on rare occasions the two happen together"... i know what you mean ....the best example i can come up with is watching your mother in law drive off a cliff in your new caddillac.. yeah i know exactly what you're talkin about sorrow yet joyful that's deep
FTB - always appreciate your insights. Lost my wife to cancer a while back...it takes a very long time to find some sense of normalcy after such a devastating blow. Maybe, never, in some ways. I cried every day for a year afterwards, and still grieve, but now less sharply. I've remarried...she lost her husband to a heart attack at age 40...we are more bound to each other by an understanding of mutual loss than most share.
And life is good. Takes a while to repair, but loss seems to make more acute the appreciation of people and things and events...and family...that surround us.
Thanks again for your soft notions and gentle thoughts.
No way am I going to win, not that I was trying. But I've forgotten what the winner gets. Such competition, I sat back and watched Chica take for firsts in a row one day. Now there are three highly toned Glumberletes racing for the finish! Will there be a tie, to be battled out how?
Agreed randal. I can't believe the fuhrer isn't still among us in one form or another. Remember he claimed to be a journo? What about internationaltimes? I dont think stutz is him, or cleveland, but you never can tell. Some people even think it's ben mako all the time. There must be a way to winkle him out. Ideas?
NOTE TO ALL............It's a testament to the human race to see, that in a time of despair, EVERY one of you step up. I hold you very much in the highest regard. Fine, sometimes we duke it out, but at the end of it all, we realize that we are in this together. Someone said on a thread a while back that this site was like the "Lord of the flies", no rules, just anarchy. Well, as much as it is (and the fact we enjoy it as such), it is reassuring to know that, YES, there is (compassionate) life out there.
billboat let me ask you something. i'm sitting here watching the republican cnn youtube debate, and am overwhelmed by the mediocrity of american politicians, the only bright spot on the horizon is RON PAUL (who is never gonna be nominated) in your experience what do canadians really think about us (oh and by the way hillary is just cheney in a pantsuit) dems = MIA don't sugar coat it thanx
Chuck, you want a Canadians perspective? I think it would be pretty much the same as any enlightened American. I think calling GWB a half-wit is an insult to half-wits. That said, Canadians in general are very fond of Americans. I travel there often and truly find few differences. I do manage to steer clear of the bible belt though. Your politicians scare us more than ours mostly because they have the ability to wield so much power and seem to do so recklessly.
Chuck...you gotta be into self-flagellation. Asking our Canadian neighbors to comment on our current leadership is like asking if they think garlic smells. Well, maybe garlic has the edge in that simile.
We here in the "lower 48" plus two are our own best critics. Got a year to go before making changes. Meantime, let's try to be a nation of patience and order, despite the lack of both in the white house.
Incredibly, we are not revolution bent, nor even impeachment bent. We will make changes....and then wait to see if they work well...always a toss of the dice, but here, the chances for improvement aren't that bad.
Oh.................my. There are far too many completely insane people in this world. We criticize the Arab nations for being Zealots and yet, look at these supposed enlightened Westerners. Think I'll just go hide under my bed 'till this blows over. What do ya figure? Another 1000 years or so? Ah hell, there will ALWAYS be this type of people. Just scares me when they hold office and have a say over others lives.
you all spend so much time talking about this first post fuckin' shit and not enough time taking the time to actually have an opinion on the material presented. it's a damn shame but i guess if yer too damned moronic not too care then your post ain't worth shite anyways.
But hey, relax friend, this is the nature of Glumbert. The videos don't really matter that much as they are just the spark that ignites a lively debate.
Ox call your doc, take a pill and chill.
Now I think this cop is assuming a law is broken, this is not a motor car anymore, and if he is worried about accidents stop those cops in the yellow running a peletron.
on oxenfrees comment i find it ammusing he or she or heshe is bitching about no1 making a comment on the actual video and doesnt make 1 himself just bitches!Tell me oxenfree what did u think about the video and if u dont like the posts dont read em no1s forcing u and on a final note PISS OFF!
hmmmmm.....planet....chill out. Ox is only the most recent entrant to Glumbert to challenge its presentations. You're next. Or just before. Can't tell, but you are both recent contributors.
It's a real temptation to slam regular posters...hell, I did it. But after a bit, one sees much deeper smarts than show on the surface of posts. Don't exactly know why, but very intelligent people post smart-ass comments loaded with scat. And then, at another moment, they expound so intelligently and impressively. I have taken to idea of reading their more reasoned inputs, and checking out their conclusions by refering to internet sources. Have yet to find them to be much off the mark...but now and then, do. So I get to be better informed, as a result.
BTW...this is a posting site, not texting site. Try to speak in complete sentences using both upper case and lower case, and, occasionally, punctuation, in order to get credibility here. ALIMHO (at least, in my humble opinion).
Welcome, planet, to a forum of thought, and, well, irreverance, and occasional outright crudity. Pick your poison.
Well said chaz, I'm guilty of "beating up" a few new posters myself in response to what I viewed as a numnut, later to find they were OK. The close to real name alias thing still bothers me though, even though most seem to have been "annihilated"!
Cleve...appreciate your comment. Y'know, you're revealing smarts your posts often obscure.
After the Red Sox, I like the Indians. After the Patriots, the Browns (once had a former Browns defensive end working for me), after the Celtics, the Cavs. Like our New England teams, Cleveland has had to endure many crummy years...fun to wach them win, which is happening more often these days.
Oh, it's a sports thing. You'll have to excuse me. From the home of the Raptors, Blue Jays and Leafs. You can understand my apathy towards all things sport related. GO (make millions of dollars for doing nothing) Leafs!
billy....I feel your pain. Not really, but it sounds so nice when I say it.
Reality ? More like, "been there, done that", re: disappointing local professional teams. Boston/New England were major losers for sooooo long. Your Leafs have a terrific history...not much these days, but I will not complain if you take the Wings out to the figurative woodshed. Just be nice to my Brooooons.
