Glumbert, Interviewees aren't normally responsible for the locations at which they're interviewed. She might have "okay'd" the location, but that doesn't mean she had any idea what was going on behind her. Who cares anyway, just goes to show she doesn't give a crap about stupid stuff. I think it just goes to show the quality of media NBC provides. Or I guess the lack there of. NBC is bent on doing everything they can to deliver the most worthless news broadcasts ever. He doesn't care at all what she was saying, he's reporting on the "backdrop". Who freakin' cares? - totally Pointless.
While they don't always get to pick the location, even my mayor has "handlers" who are with him in public and watch for this sort of things and would have stopped this interview in about 3 seconds. (And while my mayor controls a bigger population than Alaska, nobody is suggesting that he has a chance in 2012.) Yes, the media is constantly trying to pull this sort of thing on her, and everyone else too, but you don't see the other major candidates falling for it. And you can call this gotcha journalism or whatever you want, but that doesn't change the fact that she falls for it, and other people don't...
So the fact that her handlers are either stupid, or she doesn't have any, (and she doesn't know that she needs them?) says a lot about her. If she was president, who would her advisers be? Would she even have any, or would they be as dumb as the people who she hired as governor?
Millions of turkeys are killed for Thanksgiving, this isn't a big deal. But that doesn't change the fact that Palin has a combination of the two most dangerous qualities. She's embarrassingly dumb and charismatic. Ugh.
Children should have to witness where their food comes from.... mayhaps less North Americans would be FAT..;) It would reduce the hypocricy (sp?) in the animal lovers too... I've actually had people sit on a leather couch eating meat while telling me that I should be nice to mice and only LIVE trap them...yeeesh!

Whatever do you mean? Why should we have to kill animals in these modern days, when all meat can be purchased at the supermarket? ;-)
So you don't like deer hunting, cause its barbaric to shoot deer? Yet you buy cheeseburgers at McDonald's, which supports the slaughter of cows. I think most people are ok with slaughtering animals for food, we gotta eat. Yet why do we get so upset with Chinese eating dogs, when we kill them just because we have too many strays?
I don't see a problem with Palin visiting a turkey farm. The PETA people can get fucked. Those guys are raising and slaughtering turkeys so we don't have to. I for one have little desire to slaughter, pluck, and eviscerate my own turkey.
