Y'know, I was always middle-of-the-road when it came to Chris Matthews; sometimes I found him to be bombastic and was unsure of his skills; and at other times, I found him to be pretty accurate and dead-on, asking the pertenant questions as a RESPONSIBLE member of the Fourth Estate, i.e., a REAL journalist (are you listening, Bill O'Leilly apologists?). Clearly, in this interview, he was on his game. Bang-on.
In the person of Kevin James (never heard of this puddin' head), all you see here is a personification of who and what NINETY-PERCENT of the Republican, right-wing, neo-cons truly are: clueless; filled with a lot of empty-headed rhetoric; following whatever Bush says like a lapdog; a complete and utter lack of understanding of history; an oblivious knowledge of vocabulary ("appeasement" vs. "talking to someone").....and on and on and on......
I saw this interview as originally aired on MSNBC, and know what I did? I asked my twelve year-old to have a seat, and I asked him: "Hey, buddy.....you're taking history in school, right? Who was Neville Chamberlain?" he says, "Ummm....I...think....that guy was the Prime Minister of...ummm...Britain?...and people didn't like him, 'cuz he....ummm.....gave Hitler...a bunch of stuff....and Hitler promised he'd behave...but he didn't."
Then I asked him, "Well, what were they mad at Chamberlain for?"
"Because", he continues, "he gave.....Hitler....stuff....and thought it would be enough.....ummmm......but it wasn't."
I asked him what that was called.
"A double-cross", he says.....LOL!
My TWELVE YEAR OLD even knew more than this FRIGGIN' BUSH-LOVING CLOWN!!! (probably knows even more than the average Republican, I'll wager).
And Matthews was right: at a press conference, the White House Press Secretary really WAS clueless about what the Cuban Missile Crisis was. Totally. Absolutely.
This isn't a question any longer if these types of idealogues occupying the seat of government in Washington are 'competent'; rather, I think we've finally entered a dawning realization that they may be just simply.....and wilfully......stupid. To their core. S-T-U-P-I-D.
I would like to express surprise at Mr. James' lack of knowledge, and complete mastery of bullshit, but we see and hear these idiots 24/7 here in the USA. The media, industry, and the government are full of these morons.
But, I bet he knows that the earth is 6000 years old, and is the center of the universe. A blind follower of his God Bush, in a vain brown nosing quest for power, and identity.
By the way Mr. Bush will be on his knees before the Saud family members pleading and sucking for more oil tomorrow. I'm certain he will be the clownish amusement for Saudi family dining conversations for the next month.
This poor guy didn't notice his 'script' had no room for questions with some merit to them. His practiced rant caused his brain to freeze up and left him incapable of commen sense. Reminds me of the current administration.
I "member" what you said. Truthfully, politicians are too dramatic for my taste, and religion...well, I won't go there. HOWEVER, I very much enjoy the opinions expressed between glumbertarians :)
After all the previous posts, mine might be a bit chancey....
....do not project on to the American public the sense one might obtain from a couple of its most vocal consituents, never mind if they happen to have radio shows.
After all, you know, don't you, that the most successful of the media are those who create the most controversy. In my opinion, they are akin to parasites...they thrive on another's lifelines.
Limbaugh may not always be wrong or right, but he is forever pompous and selfserving.
These people, Matthews et al, ride the same road...self serving controversy that neither informs nor enlightens, but simply capitalizes on the differences between decision-making factions...after all, they really don't need to make decisions, do they...just critique those who do.
Excuse me, Arse............DRIVEL
OK...admitedly, I have enjoyed several white wines at this point....which is no reason to abide the many whines from elsewhere.
Bybye for now........Red Sox are rained out and the Celtics are in danger of losing the sixth game..........gotta watch, with hope, the true champions of professional basketball.......see ya
Leave Kevin alone. After all everybody knows that WWII was all about appeasement, speaking from strength and toaster strudel. Goddam Eskimos are the ones who started it all
Lol seriously though, Watching Kevin James speak is like watching
a blind man cross the highway
Wow, I am saddened and amazed by the responses to this video. I could go on for hours spewing forth wisdom that you would fail to see, but I refrain. I feel your souls are lost and I weep for you all. A day will come when you realize the err of your ways and the pain it has caused your fellow man.
I bid you adieu and pray that the realization comes while you still live and have time to do something about it.
Any negative response to this would only ensure I am right. :'(
Since I know you are just an alias and looking to rile, I'm going to mess with you. Kind of like shit on your shoe, just can't get it off and keep stepping in it! Go see the hot steaming pile stuck to your shoe on the "Numbers mean a lot" vid.
Yeah C! With all these hoards of people hanging on every single letter you write, the least you could do is have impeccable spelling! LOL!
I really don't know which is better, the medal which you recently received, or the honours by the throngs who follow your every comment, right to the letter!
I love the cock too, nothing quite like it, slowly pulling back the hammer...the sun glinting off the rotating cylinder then click! She's cocked and locked! OHHHH just gives me a woody!
No Silly! I was quite obviously referring to the virile sect of avian often coveted, in the culinary world, for its peculiar textured cockscomb. However, more importantly was my particular attribution of canuck's admiration of this species to that of the capon. In fact I'm quite certain he aims at becoming one of these castrated, feathered creatures, or attempting to anyways, when he reaches adulthood.
IK , are you saving us all?
What's the price of not reading what C or M would not like, is it "the cost of all the burned books in Kansas"?
I can take it, unless you're sure it's a clone, but you must be sure.
Locked doors stand in the front of closed minds.
gymyg, my thoughts on the matter are... copy all, or portions of, someone else's "handle" in combination with yours and that would make it an "imposter". Sometimes it's hard to tell it's fake, other not. I'm sure coming up with ones own unique name isn't that hard and if it is, well you see what rif raf we get, so WHACK EM!
Maybe we should get into a conversation about those who choose to "annoy" for no other reason than to see their words written....who feel "their" own thoughts are above all others and should be shoved down others throats! Talk about hypocrisy!
I can understand a comment or two in opposition of some one else's comment, but beyond that, you enter the realm of obsessive anti social behavior, pure and simple!
Bottom line, no one really cares that much about what one says here...least of all what the whining, obsessive, anti social, nah nah nah, wah wah wah's have to say!
