as reported by the AP 3 hours ago.... "The White House on Wednesday defended the latest action, an $85 billion emergency loan for insurance giant American International Group Inc. The government gets almost an 80 percent stake in the company, the most far-reaching intervention into the private sector ever for the Federal Reserve."
this is factually incorrect. the federal reserve is a private company. described by wikipedia as a it is a quasi-public (government entity with private components) banking system.....(where have i heard that before ..oh yeah fanny mae / freddie mac)......listen, they are a secretive privately owned printing press that sets u.s. monetary policy with little or no oversight. ron paul has said it is easier to get information out of the c.i.a than the federal reserve...they printed the money they used to "buy" the largest insurance company in the world.....
near the end of the article there is an glimpse of the presidents uncanny ability to lead the country during times of disaster....
""Bush however, was not willing to talk about it. He has not fielded questions about the economic upheaval this week and even canceled a statement Tuesday. Reporters have tried each day. When one tried to press Bush in the Oval Office on Wednesday, he said he could not hear the question, and then made light of the moment by saying, "I'm old." The president has not held a news conference since July.""
some are born to greatness, some have it cast upon them....and some just don't know what the fuck they're doing.....
this is significant ....other bailouts ( fannie / freddie, etc) whether right or wrong were handled by the department of the u.s. treasury ...a real branch of the federal government....
just one more thing.... it aint over til it's over.... "Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs Shares Plunge After AIG Takeover Christine Harper BLOOMBERG Wednesday, September 17, 2008 Sept. 17 (Bloomberg) ..... "Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Morgan Stanley, the two biggest U.S. securities firms, tumbled the most ever in New York after a government rescue plan for American International Group Inc. failed to ease the credit contraction. Goldman fell as much as 23 percent on the New York Stock Exchange and Morgan Stanley plunged 44 percent, leading financial stocks to the lowest level in five years.".......
conventional financial thinking links the price of an once of gold to the dow jones peter schiff among others thinks it should be apx 1:1 maybe 1:2 ...it's currently 1:11 (apx) ok now i'll shut up....
Good morning Comrades.Lets have a look back over the last 20 years.
A) We were attacked by a small group of Saudi zealots, and the Bush administration took OUR freedoms away.
B) We invaded Afghanistan, and Iraq with the pledge to give THEM democracy, and build roads, schools, power plants, and a thriving economy for the enemy?
C) Remember when we created Saddam Hussein to combat the Iran problem, and allow the big oil to assist Saddam with a oil economy?
D) How we laughed when the Soviet Union was floundering in Afghanistan, and spending their national fortune fighting the mujahedeen, and our CIA backed Osama bin Laden.
E) We were amused bo the USSR's comical fat bureaucracy and how the media aggrandized their leaders who were just elite puppets appointed by the real power brokers in the Polit Bureau.
F) We thought those poor people with all of their giant corrupt government owned industries that were constantly bleeding the people dry.
G) Anyone else notice that according to the president and McCain we are no longer "fellow Americans", but "The workers of America"?
H) President Bush%u2019s June 2001 declaration that he had looked Russia%u2019s Vladimir Putin in the eye and %u201Cwas able to get a sense of his soul%u201D... I guess he saw a lot of things he liked about the former soviet union.
I) Remember the KGB, and Stasi. How they were appointed by the elite to spy on their own citizens, listen in on their phone calls, and if found
guilty of a anti-government attitude they could be shipped off to a "camp", without a trial or habeas corpus? What a fu*ked up place the old empire was!
J) It was impressive how they raped their own country of natural resources in a frenzy to pay off their titanic national debt, and yet kept on proclaiming that they were the super power of the world.
K) How the empire encroaches and encircles the enemy, by inserting their political views, and capital into failed states, and even installing missile bases.
And so much more. Now can you see the difference between the US of today, from the USSR of old?
I have to join my fellow "workers" now, and maybe I will pick up a copy of the any newspaper on the way. Perhaps the government can finish their takeover of the media, and just call it The Daily Worker.
Because I do not read all posts of all vids and had no idea this was such a sore subject to you. Chucknorriss reminded me of your posts- throwing in politics with no connection at all to the video. Giving links to lots of other sites to try and prove a point. A palpable sense of desperately wanting attention.
The things I could sort out here. Hmm, what to do?
For starters, you can all get your rants about my newest username out of your systems, to those this applies.
Furthermore, I will state that I don't know everything going down right now myself. Feel free to ask sensible questions, I'll answer as best I can. (regarding aliases and whatnot.)
And lastly, I would like to direct a comment at rat-ass:
Do they make an abridged version of your rat-shit? Because the less I have to hear of it, the better.
Hey i resemble that remark sojo.... got to sympathetic with the guy,,, when things go wrong,,, we all curse like that,,,
Are you all so happy with your work day,, if you are,,, congratulations
I don't think a slamming welcome would have been better, but it appears I have been ignored. Even to the extent, I daresay, of being shunned. Utter bullshit.
Anyhow, an otherwise good morning to you old fisherman. Explain to me, how can it be so bad here that you are moving to Luxemburg? Surely, you would have the good sense to go to Ireland. I hear the experience when fishing for eels can be interesting.
