It's ok not to understand this video. In fact the more you don't understand it the more it makes it ok to touch other men that way. If you don't understand, it's ok.

i find it fascinating to read the replies of people ON A COMPUTER who say they think this is a complete waste of time......do they not know that they are benefiting from it when they USE THEIR COMPUTER????

Really nice - I've heard he'd worked on a wooden multiplier, but then ran out of marbles...

Not entirely useless, its a great visual illustration of adding in binary. Although I find this a lot of work for marginal interest, I see golf or football as much the same thing so it's subjective.

very intelligent also quite useless

Let's see him do it in hexadecimal

Uhhh, does this guy have a real job?

Lol what do you work in a sweatshop? The thing he built doesnt take THAT much time. Just because you wouldnt do it doesnt mean its a waste of time.

what, being a carpenter isn't a real job?
I thought it was a very nice contraption.

It's always funny to me when someone makes an adding machine that still requires you to add the results to get the real answer. And that's what's wrong with most of the engineering that comes from people that are too smart for their own good.

I heard there are 11 kinds of people in this world - those who understand binary and those who don't.

true dat.

... it's 10, which is incorrect as what you intend to do is say "2" which is the an ascii representation of the second integer from zero. To represent that you would say "00110010" ("0011" being the numerical prefix in ascii, "0010" being the value of two." binary which essentially ruins the joke.
