Why does anti-war advocates and pro-war advocates try to speak on our behalf? Were not being shut out. We have a voice and we have a choice. We are a volunteer army and many units do have a waitlist to be deployed.

Last year 1204 billion dollars was spent on militaries/wars. 40% was by the US. Seems we should have a better global economy than wasting that much money on wars and killing. (BTW 911 was a bushco setup)

This war is not as "easy" as slaughtering a marching column of red coats, or a destroying a battalion of Panzer tanks. The Coalition is now fighting what amounts to "street thugs and rednecks." That does not mean fighting a disorganized group, as our own street thugs and rednecks are much better financed and just as easily equipped. These thugs will fight just to fight, albeit being invaded would be a reason to combine their thuggery against the invaders. They are not highly educated philosophers and clerics, they are gangsters without care of life or death, theirs or their mother's, who want to rule their tiny patch of turf, rather than joining in a systematic government.

Our administration refused to do so. Look at Osama's page on www.fbi.gov Nowhere does it mention he's wanted for connection to 9/11 As far as what Iraq has to do with Al-Quaida, even president Bush said on national television, in a public forum that Iraq has NOTHING to do with Al-Quaida or 9/11. The information is out there, it just isn't thrown in front of you like Anna Nichole or Britney Spears.
I personally miss my devildogs, and I volunteered, and they did too. We used to say "This is what we asked for". Anyone who says that American citizens don't have a right to complain if they don't volunteer - that's bullshit. Saying that tells me that MY contribution, and my brothers' and sisters' contributions mean nothing.
You can't blame Iraqi's, either. They are doing what WE would be doing if another countries military force occupied OUR soil. Blaming them or saying they are 'bad' is to underestimate them, and to disrespect them. We aren't fighting "terrorists", we are fighting "insurgents". There is a huge difference. Anyone who cares to inform themselves with an open mind and a geometric thought proccess can see holes all over the place. There are people that know more about certain things than know it alls on the interet.
When was the last time you asked them about their experiences??? Most people don't know what it's like to wake up everyday, if you even GOT to sleep the night before not knowing if you'll return alive and intact, or even knows what it's like to accept that fact. When you run into someone who knows what it's like to sit and think, try to remember, which blood on his boots is a guy from his fire team, or the guy that killed him... you fucking ask him about his experiences. If you disregard what they have to say, you are never going to be intelligent. Intelligence is about being willingly ABLE to change your opinion. The value of the US dollar is going down steadily, and has been for years. So guess what that means? It takes more $$$ to purchase the same ammount.... it's called inflation, and it affects gas because OPEC regulates the price of a barrell in US DOLLARS. So our dollar is weak... guess what happens....

The only oil we are interested in, if ANY, is in Eurasia. If we get a friendly government in Iraq to our liking, we can run a pipeline out to the sea to pump it onto ships... and because it allows more oil shipments to places like CHINA, and other countries that use about as much, if not MORE than we will soon... well guess what, that'll help our economy and keep us in tight with OPEC so we still have a monetary system that's worth something.

I am not happy about Al Queda's success over 9/11, nor on how they have moved into Iraq. But Iraq and Saddam Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11 - If you want to call me names for stating that as a fact, go ahead. Some anonymous New Yorker thinks harshly of me - oh the horror!. But spare me recounting the drama of having been there on the ground when 9/11 happened. So what? I have no doubt it was horrible - but that does not justify the war in Iraq one iota, and 9/11 was not even the government's reason for going to war in Iraq.
Oh, and the reference to "Bin Laden's admission" - well, that is the point. Yes, Bin Laden and Al Queda were entirely behind 9/11. But there has never been any connection drawn between Al Queda and Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein's Iraq. Show me a tape of Saddam Hussein confessing to 9/11 and I will join the Marines and ask to be shipped to Iraq myself.
...and since posting this above, the Pentagon has now announced that they finished reviewing all the intelligence documents captured from Saddam Hussein's government when they took over the country. What did they find as evidence linking Saddam Hussein and Al Queda? Right. Absolutely nothing - the Pentagon admits as much.
everyone makes a big deal like people are drafted, they signed up, I was in the army for 1 year, was supposed to be only 6 months, kinda pissed about that, but i should of known. I signed up for my country, for my family. i didnt say "i dont wanna go" and not even sign up and have to go, so i hate when people say stuff about how many soldiers or w/e

It's very hard to get "Manipulated" into the service, especially when there IS a war going on. The proccess it takes to enlist takes several weeks at least.
And no, no one DESERVES to die because they enlisted. But you know what? All of us who did were willing too. There is a big difference there. I volunteered of my own free will, I only had a recruiter to do paperwork for me and drive me to MEPS. And I didn't join the Air Force, or the Navy. Or the Army. I enlisted in the Marine Corps as a 0300 - that's infantry. Why? Because I was willing to fight, and while I didn't want to die I accepted the fact that I might.
Some of you people act like you have respect for American servicemen, and you want to "bring us home", and say catchy shit like "How many more soldiers Mr. Bush?" But then you blatantly disrespect ALL servicemembers by saying trash like this:
