ya! i did a similar thing whilst pitching in little league. held the ball in my glove and flicked it out towards the batter. didn't get a strike, but got a huge laugh from the stands. good to see a sense of humor in adult sports (as opposed to another montage of fighting).
Oh please! Nice try, but the pitcher got away with an obvious ball. That was out of the strike zone, but the catcher fooled the ump with a quick placement of the glove inside the strike zone. The batter was robbed.
