nikon will tell me I'm now racist, because I didn't vote for Obama. As if I was all ready to vote for Hillary, until that darn semi African American won the nomination. No, I wouldn't have voted for Hillary either, probably because deep down, I'm sexist. But since I voted for McCain, at least I don't discriminate for age.
Next presidential election, I'll need to vote for a Chinese-Mexican Muslim woman with special needs, just to clear my guilty conscience.

People are far far too willing to play the race card. And the latest trend of declaring "racism" as if its some magical trump card to automatically win any political discussion with an opposing viewpoint from Obama's, well I see that as some slimy attempt to curtail others right to free speech, by trying to intimidate and shame them from speaking their opinion. And that is un-American. I certainly hope that was not your intent nikon.
I disagree with Obama on many topics, not because of the color of his skin, but because of the left-leaning, America destroying, socialist spreading, wealth stealing domestic policy that Obama pushes. I don't think he's a bad guy, I just feel his policies push America down the road to ruin, and destroy our children's futures is all. And if that makes me racist to disagree with a half-black man on any topic, than lets just say I only disagree with Obama's white half.

I think many people harbor certain stereotypes of others, some may even be somewhat accurate. If I see a car driving down the highway with huge spinning gold rims, I might expect it likely that the driver of that car is black or latino. Just as I might expect the driver of a late model pickup with huge tires and a lift kit to be white. And in my area I'd probably be right, at least the majority of the time. I don't consider that racist, I consider that experience telling me what most likely to expect. Its not like I react any differently. But I don't believe all people are racists. I don't believe the majority of black or latino people drive cars with spinny gold rims, nor do I believe the majority of white guys drive jacked up pickups. There are a minority of any race that tends to confirm our stereotypes often enough that we tend to believe and even rely on them. The trick is never to paint everyone with the same brush, or generalize about anyone, because anyone can surprise you by being completely opposite what you'd expect.
Going through life as a racist is a terribly stupid way to live.
