My daughter had a hamster called Burgoid - I've no idea why that was its name.
Anyway, one day it was out in the garden in its cute little run, when a sparrowhawk swooped and carried it off in one beautiful movement.
My daughter was inconsolable, but I tried to impress upon her the awesome power of nature red in tooth and claw.
