Brilliant video.

Creative, imaginative and hilarious.

If I was Obama and saw this, I'd be as flattered as all hell.

Have to say I totally agree with Hillary being identified with Darth Vader.

I think it is odd that Hillary is calling Obama a Elitist, she was raised under the condition of unrelenting affluence.

Whats next; she and Bill were were salves picking the cotton on Obama's plantation, and Obama is out of touch because he is beltway insider.

She really is nuts!

Lets just say "she doesn't like to lose" and she will.

I think the media (including glumbert) have given too much negative attention to Hillary Clinton.

Clinton is elitist, Obama is elitist. It doesn't matter who the nominee will be, because Mac will take it all. He's just sitting back and watching it all go down.

I'd never vote for Barack Hussein Obama in a TRILLION years.

Hillary Clinton may appear to be evil, but it's better knowing that she's evil than knowing the other evil guy. You don't know what evil Obama will do.

My words to Obama, go strap on an explosive and BLOW UP YOURSELF for the sake of humanity!

Awwww, c'mon, surfer!

You always struck me as way too intelligent to be buying into all that Republican-spinning fear-mongering.

McCain is a complete burn-out, who has NO idea of foreign policy (or domestic, for that matter) and will lose against no matter who gets the Democratic nomination; Hillary is simply opportunistic and power-hungry, and loves to vote for ill-concieved wars, and has had a silver spoon in that mouth of hers all her life.

At least Obama has more in common with the average schmuck that ANY of them! And c'mon...seriously, dude....that whole "strapping on of explosives" is a bit much....don't ya think??

You're smarter than that.

One thing I can't figure out, though: they've BOTH said thay would defend Israel and "OBLITERATE" its enemies if it were attacked. I guess MY question is......why?

By that I mean, Israel already has nuclear weapons. They could "obliterate" any country of their choosing, if they so desire, on their OWN. Why do U.S. leaders feel this freakin' need to throw in THEIR toys into the mix???

I don't get it.
1 week ago
C - I don't get the Israel connection either. I think we should cut them loose as well. They are more capable of defending themselves without our support.

Fuck Hussein Obama.

Can HE be any worse than who you've had for the last 7 years?
1 week ago
And here's another question that's been nagging at me about Mr. McCain:

Over the course of this campaign, he's made much of his time spent as a POW in Hanoi for several years, after being shot down.

That's all well-and-good, and kudos to him for his service. BUT.....why nothing out of him about the fate of the approx. 2,500 American MIA's since that war ended, and remain unaccounted for? Why not word ONE out of him, showing ANY concern whatsoever about the possibility that some American boys were left behind to rot in a VC prison camp all these years? I mean, you'd think that HE of all people would say something...ANYTHING...about this. But not a word (unless I missed it; and I DO follow U.S. politics closely).

Or is it that he was just happy to escape with his own ass intact?

(btw....even up here, I fly that black POW/MIA flag outside my house)
1 week ago
Which, in turn, leads me into ANOTHER question (albeit a hypothetical one):

Why all the manpower, resources, money, equipment to go and invade/conquer/occupy a sovereign country AND to topple its government.........but no such effort to mount the same operation (of which the U.S. government would only need a quarter of, if that) to get those poor kids back, who were left behind in 'Nam?

This is why when I hear all the sabre-rattling from both parties (Republicans are notoriously worse for it) about "supporting the troops", and "pride in the uniform"......that it makes me wanna puke.

Badly.

In a related side-note, I'll add this to my latest rant:

C, looks like you missed some "politcs" then...

As a member of the 1991%u20131993 Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs, chaired by Democrat and fellow Vietnam War veteran John Kerry, McCain investigated the fate of U.S. service personnel listed as missing in action during the Vietnam War. The committee's unanimous report stated there was "no compelling evidence that proves that any American remains alive in captivity in Southeast Asia." Helped by McCain's efforts, in 1995 the U.S. normalized diplomatic relations with Vietnam.

A little dose of reality and what the US could expect more of if either Democrat made office...

Remember the election in 2006?
Where the Democrats took control of the house?

1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%.

Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006 we have seen:

1) Consumer confidence plummet;
2) The cost of regular gasoline soar to over $3.50 a gallon;
3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase);
4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses);
5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 trillion dollars;
6) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.

America voted for change in 2006, and we got it!

Remember it's Congress that makes law not the President. He has to work with what's handed to him.

Not that I'm saying ANYTHING "good" about GWB! Just pointing out the truth!
1 week ago
So you blame congress? That's like blaming the cat for the mouse in the house. DMS!
Bushes tax cuts are coming back to bite our asses, war has increase gas prices, the war industries are making a killing, and New Orleans is still not rebuilt. The cost of gas causes more problems with everything. Remeber when Chaney said "we don't need to conserve" we just need more oil? That meeting with energy groups that no one can read the mins on has set the world in a spin, it started with Enron,,,,,,,,,,,and will continue until congress has a freash start with a new pres.

Our choice's... we have an ultra rich lawyer, married to an ultra rich lawyer as one candidate, then we have another ultra rich lawyer married to a (impeached) ex pres, then we have a war hero who's not ultra rich married to a ultra rich beer pusher....that choice is a no brainer (tongue in cheeck)

Miter:

Thanks, Deputy!

Information duly noted, and revised on my behalf. Wasn't aware of the McCain/Kerry Senate Select Committee (how the hell did THAT get by me??), and I'll happily take your word on it.

Disagree with you on the candidates, though. I mean, c'mon....do you really want a Bush/Clinton Dynasty in the White House?? (and all McCain is, is another 4 years of Bush).

Gotta give Barack a chance.

New blood...that sort of thing.

And as far as those stats you mentioned and Congress "making the law, not the President".....

Ain't that just the catch-up effect of having a 5-year conflict (and its economic spin-offs as well)? Don't ya think that THIS current President has already shown he's NOT gonna "work" with Congress, and he don't give a rats ass about their "laws"? Hell, even Cheney has said he's "his own branch of government", and therefore not subject to the whims of Congress.

Don't get me wrong: I'm about as pissed at Congress right now, as I am at Bush; but only because they're NOT doing their jobs.

Because if they were.....

we'd be seeing a high-profile trial right about now.

none of the dem's are ultra rich, Mc's wife maybe but less than 50 mil, thats not like ultra. You have to vote (I would hope you vote) for someone.

Alright guys, I don't want to get into politics, I just don't know enough about the full spectrum of issues.. besides, I just like McCain the man. I want a president that takes no shit, and gives it! I do like Obama very much, right up till I saw his voting record on my ole favorite stance...gun rights. That's where the truth stings about Obama...I just can't go there.
Hillary...no, same reason.

I do vote, always have...and I always vote "Freedom First!"

and Gymyg, anyone making more than a million a year is ULTRA RICH to me!
I'm so fucking tired of being beat down in every way financially, health care 8 Gs a year ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME! Can't even afford dental care (which I need desperately after the other day) Monthly gasoline costs $435...that a damn car payment and I nice car too. I'm going down fast with the recession were in, doubt I can make it through the year, but hey, can't sell my f-ing house it's value plummeted over 100 grand with all the foreclosures in the area..and on and on it goes! Where the hell do I sign up to fight for my country back anyway, cuz I'm fucking ready to go!
1 week ago
You're paying eight thousand DOLLARS a year for "HEALTH CARE"????

Like....WTF????

Okay, Deputy.....time to pack up, and take the next stagecoach heading up here.

That's fucking bullshit (ESPECIALLY for an average Joe who seems to work hard).

Seriously, Man.

I'm really fucking pissed off for you.

Yep C I am, ain't life a bitch! I'm on the COBRA plan, which is a three year deal after divorce (in my case) or if you get the boot from your employer. It's really good insurance I'll say that, $7 co-pays for meds, $15 for office visits unlimited times. The real fun part for me is it's up in a year..after that I may not even be able to obtain any due to "existing conditions" (cancer, which I may have beaten) and any I can get (Blue Cross) is going to be about $450 per month with $2500 deductible, after which they pay 70 percent, $50 co-pays on office visits up to 5 a year, meds are..shit I don't even know (fortunately I don't need any...for now!) no vision, no dental, not much of anything really.

I can't understand why there hasn't been an assassination attempt on GWB. Wack jobs take shots at other presidents for what seems to be less of a valid reason (ie: Reagan) Is GWB really that untouchable? Considering modern weaponry it really does surprise me that nobody has tried. Not to insult any American but he is an embarrassment as a leader of any nation let alone the United States, a country with so much resource that could be channelled into positve directions. On the other hand....he is the funniest president of all time, even if he doesn't mean to be.
1 week ago
yes...old georgy has been slacking. but what do you exspect? he started out fine, but its been a long, hard journey with a war raging the whole time and well, he seems to be wearing out.

and there are good reason for not trying: one, their is a sonic defense barrier that inflates at the sound of a gunshot fast enough to stop a bullet protecting him, and it is pretty well hidden, so this takes any hopes of putting a slug into him with a sniper rifle, or even a pistol at close range. two: since that eliminates sniping, the next idea would likely be a close range mellee attack. but since he has bodygaurds and other such fluff enjoyed by presidents, that would VERY likely be thwarted, the attacker would PROBABLY be tasered, and of course he would then be taken into custody easily. three: since you cant shoot or stab, the next idea might be a strong bow. since this wouldnt activate the barriers, it should hit him, except that a bow arrows are very large and clumsy and since the area that would be withing range of s shot would be under heavy surveilance, they would catch you. four: the age-old trick of poison. his food is checked, so this definately wouldnt happen. poison is probably the most obvious thing to look for, as well as the fact that there are cures for most modern poisons. five: planting explosives/a trap/ a prelaid device where he will pass. the areas he walks are thouroughly scanned, and since the area is under surveilance they would very likely be found even if they were missed during the check of the area for weapons. of course, there is the idea of getting him in his car, but it is protected from mines on the bottom, obviously has bullet-prove glass, and the engine and vital but potentially dangerous engine componets are safely tucked in a firewall. this eliminates pretty much all of the ways one might try to kill him, and so most likely he will continue to fill his nearly-over term.

Just to put in my two cents. I like Obama because he says hes going to get the US back into the ICC and ratify the world court. I don't like his health care plan, but in his international diplomacy plan he is taking the right steps. Muslims arent bad, surfer. Thats like saying all catholics are bad, or all canadians are bad. Its a logical fallacy. There's assholes in every culture. We just give all of our assholes reality shows! ;)

Since I've been old enough to vote, I haven't voted in an election where there wasn't a Bush or Clinton on the ballot.
6 days ago
Geez I am old, my first time voting was in 76 Jimmy vs Gerald..anyone go back further?
5 days ago
yeah.....but don't want to talk about it.

It is so frustrating....Kerry, Dole, etc......vs their alternate ass...'scuse......I have to go back a long time to reach an election between worthies, versus the elections of the past twenty or more years. Even Reagan was no bargain, but at least in those days we could assuage ourselves with the notion that even a weak leader could succeed when surrounded by talent.

Dream on.

Obama is inexperienced, unproven, but immensely palatable. Clinton is unproven, strident, and immensely standoffish. McCain is direct, honest, and immensely old...well, not really, but a one-term president, I would think. All in all, I'm for the short term assertive leader to bridge this era of weakness to the next, hopefully, more promising era.
