I don't know, Goldie. Machines over humans has its advantages. They'd always be on time, never need a personal day or a coffee break. And if they broke down, you could strip the usable parts to sell on Ebay. Try listing a secretary's spleen and see how far you get.

Deb, this is about protecting human workers from hazardous environments. The robot does not get sick due to the paint vapor.

how created this original image an italian man, who created this machine man? Machines mostly copy ,they need a man /woman to create . goldie hi hope you are back at work now ,but unions are counter productive.

Didn't some wop paint the original?

'Unions are counterproductive.'

You are a fucking moron.

Thats just because ebay doesn't take body parts. You can get $10k for each of her kidneys on the black market.

(And I don't think anyone does spleen transplants.)

But it makes a great paper weight!

OK-- Now that my rant got people all riled up I'll come to the defense of advanced machinery.

When I worked for the fabrication dept., we were cutting pre-impregnated composite fabric, by hand for the forward box panels (tail section).... fun job, but hard on the hands and wrists. Lots of people did'nt make it on that line very long before they were out for carpal tunnel syndrome surgery.

The big machines came in and of course we were all worried that we would no longer have a job. In fact, it added more jobs, BECAUSE it could cut so much faster, they needed more bodies to wrap up the finished kits of fabric....

So I don't really hate machines... just blowin' off some stress..
It's very LOUD here!!

It is advertising. Nvidia wanted to demonstrate parallel processing of their graphics chips versus serial processing on general purpose processors.

This was done at their Nvision developers conference this week, I did read the description of this happening yesterday but could not find a video then.

I've really got to get on that paint by explosives idea!

Kinda like a MetalStorm variant of this?

That would be a show: Mitercut demonstrating painting the Mona Lisa in 20 seconds. Not as impressive as this one you say since they only took 80ms? But Miter is doing it on a cliff side 10 miles away, projectiles need a bit of time to travel...

HAHAHAHAHAStorm could postpone Republican convention
The party is wary of anything that could remind people of Katrina.
By Maeve Reston, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer
August 29, 2008
BLOOMINGTON, MINN. -- As the political spotlight shifts to the upcoming Republican convention in Minneapolis-St. Paul, GOP leaders are closely monitoring the movements of Tropical Storm Gustav, which is approaching hurricane strength as it heads toward the Gulf Coast.

Party officials are discussing the possibility of postponing convention proceedings if the threat to New Orleans and other Gulf Coast areas grows. If there is serious damage in the Gulf Coast, images of Republicans partying in Minneapolis-St. Paul could be an embarrassing reminder of the Bush administration's delayed response to Hurricane Katrina three years ago.

What if all of those tubes were "pre-packed" with the proper colors of paint to render Mona? All Stevie needed was a blast of air to pull off the deception.

I tried to paint once, but I was total crap at it. Lucky I've got a huge dong.
