It is pointless and boring if they don't let go. If these Darwinian dimwits are proving their courage then it takes the most courage to let go, and it would have been a much better video.
It is a shame idiots like this do such lame stunts, If they had used a kite parachute instead ,so we can see the desent, that would be cool.... but push ups .i wanted to see his hand slip .......................................................................................byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think someone did... what's with the R.I.P. 11/23/2006 at the end? It's not like they're going to show that footage.... What should have happened was.... the whole crane should have just busted off the platform! That would have been ironically amazing! Picture 3 guys all going *yeah yeah* *look at us* *we're crazy and going to live too* and then all of a sudden the bolts snap before they can get off!!! Heeeee heeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oooooooh! I Wanna.....sooooo Lost Boys! I know a lot of you hate this kinda stuff. But for someone like me, who must be completely responsible all of the time.....I have a little one, remember.......It's nice to see people truly living on the edge, I dunno....it helps.
Spinnnnnnn................lock..............click...................bang....................Ohhhhh shit, I change my mind! Not really! Is that my blood or yours? soooo joking, nods her head, really......sputter cough phlegm cough sputtter.....heh, heh.
canadaman you are both stupid and mean.. how's that workin for ya??? have a great life : however the odds of an asshole like you having a really fulfilling life are extremely small
Chuckie have u heard of allthe body parts wanting to be the boss, the eyes said they should be boss because they help the body see ,the ears said they should because they make the body hear, the nose said they should because they make the body smell, the brain said it should because it makes the body function. The asshole didn't say anything just closed up . After a week the eyes couldn't see the ears couldn't hear etc, etc. They all agreed that the anis would be the boss. Moral you have to be an asshole to be the boss
Ninth grade drop-out.
I dissertated and begged my scholastic abortion.
And lo, I was born whole.
Education is great, but school got in the way.
I guess that eating out of a can is better than not eating at all, though.
Well actually, in order to be the boss... you lead by example. Which basically means that you should be able to pass, I don't know, basic grammar. Perhaps your 'put downs' would have more zing if you could structure a basic sentence.
How 'bout you just shut your inarticulate ass up, and change your fucking name, ok? I'm gettin' kinda embarrassed that you're advertising that you're from my neck of the woods.
And I don't have to "know you", to recognize a moronic peckerhead when I see one.
Lots of teams haven't exactly blessed the NHL. Some barely even deserve a hockey team. Toronto will ALWAYS be a Leafs town... and once they sweep out the upper admin... things will get better. They just need a new start.
No secret there, Canuck. I adore my Northern counterparts... there's just something about all that solid strength wrapped up in cool socialism that gets my thermostat broiling! All you need do is utter the phrase...'universal health care' and I turn to jelly.
actually if you knew how unhealthy the average american/illegal alien (oh ya cant leave those little buggers out) is, the term universal healthcare would probably induce projectile vomiting... if your an adult and are obese, addcited a drunk etc why should i be made to pay for your problem .... i wish they would get off our collective backs,,,,interesting statistic but not unique, 30 % of San Jouaquin Co, in cali receives welfare and other assisted payments... reason, meth crack and ghetto culture an average taxpaying citizen in the u.s. works between 5 and 6 moths a year to pay his taxes fuck that vote RP
i'll drink tims [mothers parkers] i will even like the leafs and become a loooooser follower like the generations before u .would wear a LE CANADIENS sweater?
Chuck, the beauty of universal health care is that it is only open to citizens a.k.a other taxpayers. Which in those terms, keeps you from paying for health care run up by illegal immigrants. It only induces projectile vomiting in those so brain washed by a capitalistic elitist mentality that they can't even see the benefits of a healthcare that does not discriminate against those in devalued economic situations. But a system that is fair and unbiased... the long wait times are a crock... the tax premium wouldn't be insurmountable and in the end... if YOU should end up with a heart attack... you don't have to mortgage the house.
Damn... wish I had a Ontario Health Card.
Canadaman...
I can't do any pickin'.... already was picked myself.
I agree with you dixie, the health care industry will stick any unsavory label on anything that threatens their profits, and many Americans are too stupid to know they are being manipulated.
I'm old enough to remember when US hospitals were NOT run only as profit centers for the owners and shareholders.
What a lucky person they are,i could imagine the two of you having a beer watching the sunset over the water and the big plus you both have a health cards.
re universal healthcare: actually the way it is right now in cali we provide healthcare for everybody including illegal immigrants, 80 hospitals in northern california have declared bnkruptcy. the emergency room has become the primary care physician for drug addicts, homeless,
Massachusetts Healthcare Plan Costs Skyrocket By Monisha Bansal CNSNews.com Staff Writer January 25, 2008
(CNSNews.com) - According to recent reports, the cost of Massachusetts' health insurance mandate will rise 85 percent, or $400 million, in 2009. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R), meanwhile, has been on the presidential campaign trail praising the program he put into place.
According to The Boston Globe, the cost increase is largely due to an increase in the number of people signing up for state-subsidized health insurance. State and federal taxpayers are likely to shoulder the cost increase.
"Essentially, the people who signed up under the mandate were the people who were getting subsidies," said Michael Tanner, director of health and welfare studies at the libertarian Cato Institute.
Carmen Balber, a consumer advocate at Foundation for Taxpayer and Consumer Rights, added, "What we've seen happen in Massachusetts is that lots of people are signing up for subsidized care," although "just 7 to 8 percent of the people who have newly signed up for health insurance have enrolled in a program they must pay full price for."
Tanner told Cybercast News Service that the state will likely need to raise taxes to cover the additional costs.
Romney, however, has been campaigning on the health insurance plan as a success.
"We put in place a plan that gets every citizen in our state health insurance, and it didn't cost us new money," he said during the Republican debate in New Hampshire on Jan. 5. "It didn't require us to raise taxes."
pod as i understand it that is by definition 'universal healthcare'
as far as offering in state tuition ... definitely a mistake as a graduate of UMASS i would hate to see that beautiful school go down in flames. look at what has happened to the schools in san diego, LA. FLA, etc , basically any place that has a large population of uneducated illegal immigrants suffers.
i'm not saying they are bad (although ~ 30% of the prison population are illegal aliens) ....we just can't afford it
Why is it that you must quote the media? I would hate to think that you couldn't formulate an opinion on your own... that would infact be the very thing these Right Wing Elitists want... and crave. How else will they get you to you feel forlorn, dejected, hopeless, and lost without them telling you to do so?
I prefer to formulate my own opinions. Using both sides of the coin to make decisions I can believe in. Plus, I personally fill that putting too much faith in ANY one government can be devastating. Chuck, aren't you tired of being told what to think, how to feel, what to eat, when to... well... you know what I mean.
I think you are good intentioned however, I believe you have fed into alot of the media rhetoric... in some cases more taxes aren't bad. I would gladly pay a 6% increase on my taxes to have FREE health care for my children and my elderly gran. And I hope it's there to help take care of me... when my social security runs out or isn't there when I need it and I can't pay for the medicine I'm probably going to need because of the diabetes and cancer that seems to run in the genes of my family.
I could say... well because I'm not a smoker, I don't want to pay for your stinking x-rays, radiation, etc. But the beauty of universal is that I don't care because they're going to take care of whatever I need or my family needs regardless.
Now, if you're one of those great people who never goes to the doctor... I assure you it's mostly because if you get sick, you'd rather chew bark than go to the doctor for that $75.00 visit.. and hey... I agree. But if you didn't have that fee... then you could actually get relief for that bronchitis, sprained ankle, or in your case chucknorriss, that deviated septum you got from one too many blows in Delta Force.
As for the financial problems in cali... well I believe this system can only work if it's nationally accepted and federally funded. All agencies working together, so the onus is not on one state or a few facilities. By the way... the U.S. is one of the few countries that doesn't have universal... and they're healthcare ratings are one of the worst. Just because you pay for it... doesn't make it the best.
Just my opinion... and I've ran out of fuel.
Really good to see you pod and bill! Missed you guys
(Sorry about the typos, wrote this fast and furious...)
re;''Chuck, aren't you tired of being told what to think, how to feel, what to eat, when to... well... you know what I mean. '' luckily they don't yet but if they are going to pay for my mistakes they likely will
Don't forget the drain on US business from industrialized medical care. I don't get why so many Americans are afraid of change even when the current system is so very bad. What's the loss, and where is the courage of our forefathers to make a system that works for all of the people, and not just the wealthy elite? This health care system is draining the corporate system to support it, and driving businesses to China.
Actually, if one is to look closely at the current system, how does anyone justify saying it is the correct way. All I hear from those with HMO's is I just got a MRI and it only cost me ten dollars! WTF, if that isn't already a form of subsidized medicine then what is it? If we really want to bring health costs down then the minimum deductible should be 20% of the bill. Then people would not be getting MRI's for athletes foot fungus.
Most patients have no idea what a medical procedure costs, nor do they care what it costs, because it's just 10 dollars.
Here is an example of why the current system is wrong. All you have to do is change the subject of the argument.
Suppose that Automobiles were equivalent to health care. Your employer will kick in 99.9% of the cost of any car you need. When you go to purchase a new car all you need to pay is 10 dollars. Under this condition, why would anyone buy the cheapest car on the lot? And most would buy a new car as often as the system provided. And don't forget that it a HMO so all your gas is paid for as well, so you don't have to care about gas mileage for that new car either. It creates a mindset to maximize waste and spending, and after a while the auto dealers would not post the price of the cars, or even know the actual price themselves. Sound like a system we know?
The current system is broken and needs to be fixed.
maybe true the current system is broken,,,let's not replace it with something worse. not one size fits all. if you can afford a better one it could be those available. if you are obese , take drugs, or engage inunhealthy behaviour ...well sorry your out of luck. not great but could be workable
i agree with dixiebelle, but podman the 1 thing u are not taking into consideration, is that medical practice advances every 4 months. Helped with new medical equipment
You can't discriminate because someone is overweight... or takes drugs. I would think those types would need help more than anyone. Besides, drug abuse programs are ususally covered by extended benefits and not the health care system itself.
One size should fit all. We have one constitution, one Declaration, and isn't the recent political rhetoric "One America"? Why would we want to be divisive with our health care? Kind of defeats the purpose of a socialized environment where we actually take care of and look out for one another. Or have we become so self involved as a society that we don't care about the other guy.
DB our differences provide matter for interesting discussion... i appreciate you point of view however, i believe the current fiscal crisis is so large and the generational impacts will be so harsh that we will probably have to cut back on existing programs rather than providing more,
Just add my own big mouth to this line of thought (HA!), lemme say that I'm kinda surprised Dixies reasoning because ...wellll....it's so.....reasonable. That didn't come out right. Not at all. (clears throat) What I MEANT, is that given what folks in her neck of the woods truly believe, it's a bit of a surprise to hear it from someone who didn't fall into the whole "if its SOCIALIZED, it's evil" arguments (minus the emotionalism as well, of course). And what the hell does "socialized" mean, anyways? Just a frakkin' word, ain't it? A "socialized" police service is okay; a "socialized" fire department is okay; but a "socialized" health care sysytem....is not. Sure, folks are upset now because of the way its implemented state-to-state (and shit, I'D be pissed off too)....but as Dixie pointed out, that is WAY unfair, and the state in question goes it alone; it should be handled, regulated and provided with FEDERAL money (kind of like the way they handle the military already, as well as the CIA, the DIA, the NSA, Homeland Security, etc.). Fantastic. Now create a DEPARTMENT of Health Care, and you're good to go. Or, at the very least, get rid of a federal agency that's useless (Homeland Sec. comes to mind) .....and replace with HEALTH. This way, it all gets managed and distributed evenly.
I'm guessing here, but I think Dixie might be looking at it from the perspective of "How come GWB and his cabal never have to worry about doctors bills....but I do? Even if I sustain an accident?"
canuck if i knew the answer i would run for president. but america is not canada, we weigh more , read less, shoot each other at an astonishing rate and generally exhibit behaviour that would indicated a species in evolutionary decline. 80 to 90 percent of innercity households are single mothers receiving welfare, food stamps etc. this leads to viariety of problems not the least being multigenerational subsidy dependence, illiteracy and illegal behaviour 930% of black males will be in prison by the time they are 30 years old) that's astonishing. wanna know why americans are so passionate about their guns...it's because we need 'em..... free healthcare will exacerbate this, we need to start cleaning things up.
You paint a rather gloomy picture of the current state of U.S. society. Are you saying that you believe that America should fix its cultural issues, before it can address its health issues? (I'm not sure if you're saying that or not, but just asking).
mr canuck good evening yes i do paint a bleak picture; however it's true. but it's accurate. if you knew what's going on in south central LA or washington dc or chicago or NY you would be appalled. i worked on a highway that runs thru richmond california. the murderate is so high the cops used to tell us don't stop even at stoplights..look and go. lyndon johnson(an unmitigated asshole) began a welfare program that has resulted in a permant underclass of bitter and confused people who are convinced the only way to live is by government subsidy..so they do...and they hate it and whitey by extension... in any of the cities mentioned you will find a highschool graduation rate of less than 50%...that's disaster....to continue promote this is pointless and cruel. but no one will address it. so my solution is ya let's fix it. if a gangbanger comes into a medical facility requires $200000 worth of surgery for defending his 'turf' no way pardner...if awomen is makin babies as an industry sorry sister, your gonna be pickin up trash along the highway before you get any welfare, youre gonna have to work.
Anyways, I can actually understand and appreciate why you're upset. For real. And you've got quite a few things to feel legitimately pissed off about, no arguments there.
But still....with Georgie-Boy about to propose a three TRILLION (!) dollar budget to Congress (which is a new record), I'm still kinda finding it hard to figure out why some folks view a universal health care plan as "unaffordable".
Chuck.....a TRILLION DOLLARS!!
Can you imagine that figure?? Christ, I know I can't. Gimme a thousand bucks cash in my wallet that's MINE, and I think I'M the Big Shot On Campus, y'know?
But a TRILLION?
Fuuuuuck.
Like I said, Chuck, I think universal health CAN be a viable system, with having it tweaked and fine-tuned, to fit the needs of American society. Don't copy the French model; don't copy the Canadian model; don't even copy the British model; instead, someone in Washington should take an honest look at the components that DO work in those systems, and adapt the best parts of them for the U.S. In other words, keep what works, and leave out the crap. Now, with all of the investigations and over-sight committees that exist in D.C. right NOW, surely THAT can be something that can be looked at.....right?
I think it could be a win-win scenario, potentially, for ALL Americans.
Some might argue that it would be "too time-consuming" or "too difficult" or "too complex" for Washington to conduct that kind of fact-finding inquiry, re: the viability of a tailor-made, universal health care plan for the U.S.
I cannot believe that for one second. Know why?
Because a nation that can repeatedly send human beings to the Moon, and return them safely to their homes and families.......indicates a spirit and passion, that cannot be ignored or dismissed. All shit about Iraq or U.S. foreign policy aside, when America accomplishes something like THAT.....
I'm pretty well sold, that She can accomplish ANYTHING. When She's good... She's AWESOME.
i agree america can ,and has accomplished much..however we dont seem to be moving in the right direction. ~70% of america feels the same way. we have made a fundamental error and it doesn't look like it's correctable. So what do we do....healthcare, fine we already provide it anyhow but lets go with it ..... i don't see the type of leadership that can accomplish this ineither party. Lobbyists control our legilative and executive branch and the average american voter is as dumb as a rock...
Education is great, but school got in the way
I have read this news and many people are discussing about this on RichMingle.com, a site for celebrities and wealthy people. Really hot!
