Maybe he thought if he kept pushing the button on the screen it would count up all the hits as votes. We heard from the booth, "Yeah Mutha F*r, Obama bitch... two hundred votes from me bitch, yeeeeha."
I'm trying get the the photo of the ballot off my phone to put up, I have a razor, any suggestions, remember I'm an old fart so it has to be step X step.
WTF???? How is this an "urban legend"???? The shitbag admitted he voted a couple of times, and the CNN/Obama network reporter said it's OK.... Well, they have his name, I hope they prosecute his ass. Shit, he's probably a convicted felon and ineligible, to boot...
Good one.
I remember a hapier time and place, not so long ago where that sort of thing actually existed.
Y'know...shoot someone for making a joke about the party in power.
Hey...seriously...this is standard fare for Chicago and Philly...and now, Cleveland.
ACORN and its surrogates are legendary in their capacity to get multiple votes, etc.
The root problem: too many are afraid to call them on it for fear of being labeled racists.
Easier just to re-use teefuse's post further down the thread:
I guess we'll have to deal with grumbling, lame-ass right-wingers for a while since they can't believe their moronic view of the world didn't pan out with average voter
Don't doubt for a minute that, were all things on the up and up, Obama still would have won.
Since you can't read, you missed that I was lamenting what is routine in the Democrat party. Hey, I even pointed out where.
The Republicans threw a dead fish at this election. The same can be said about the Dems in the last one. When the elephants start treating the donkeys as what they are and start putting conservatives on the ballots, the asses will have their asses handed hack to them.
I do hope that the left thinks it has the strong will of the people going forward. It is that sort of hubris that will make their terms, and my Republican limp-wrists, short-lived.
You suffer, among other things, the same affliction as C-...you cannot think.
I guess we'll have to deal with grumbling, lame-ass right-wingers for a while since they can't believe their moronic view of the world didn't pan out with average voter
YES DUMMIES he was saying he decided to come back a couple of times. And you call HIM the stupid one. And FYI weinerdog, yes we proved that the non-racists outnumber the racists in this country... but please don't think there aren't whites out there discriminating against Blacks. I am a VERY successful Black woman (from the hood) so yes I know it can be done. But I've witnessed first hand how racists whites have kept perfectly qualified Blacks from getting hired, or promoted, and have flat out made things very difficult for them in the workplace. I even heard a woman say "Blacks shouldn't get paid as much as whites because they are less educated." We were in the same DAMN grad school program! AND she thought it was OK to say that mess. So yes, it happens... and more often than people think.
Neither is worse Stream. Skin color is a ridiculous basis for voting against or in favor of someone. It's idiotic to do either. It's racist to do either.
Now GENDER...that's a different story. Cause EVERYONE knows that women don't do well in office. >:D
Well nationwide, some 94% of blacks voted for Obama. And while I can appreciate their strong desire to have the first black president, obviously lots of black folks did vote for Obama based purely on skin color. Is that racist? What do you glumbertonians think?
HD, as you stated here over and over again you voted for McCain, are you a white racist because you did?
I think it has more to do with the blacks being able to relate to Obama, that is not exclusively due to him not being white, it is also due to him not being another one of the old established elite.
Like it or not, you will see that Obama will change a lot of things for the better just because of the enthusiasm he creates in many people.
If 99% of whites voted for Mccain, then I would say they are doing so out of racism.
It doesn't matter what perspective you have, voting for someone based on skin color is racist.
You can twist it around all you want, but it is what it is.
Seems I've been accused of being racist for the past 2 months because I supported McCain. See Eddie's very valid point above. I would say 99% of racist whites voted for McCain (well maybe some still hated Irish more than blacks), but considering so many white people voted for Obama, surely a majority of whites are not racist.
Now compare that to 94% of blacks voting for Obama. Where are the racists?
Voting for Obama because he is black is just as bad as not voting for him because he is black. Yes, it is very racist. But, not really, because if you are a racist black, you are not really racist, you are just making reparations for the slavery that ended in 1863 with the Emancipation Proclamation. Oh, news flash, it's 2008 now. Nobody living was ever a black slave....
Yeah, like I believe anything that guy says. I guess we'll have to deal with grumbling, lame-ass right-wingers for a while since they can't believe their moronic view of the world didn't pan out with average voter.
Maybe the guy was trying to say he'd came back a couple times already because the line was too long? perhaps?? perhaps not?? And while I don't consider myself racist, nor prejudiced, altho somewhat casually bigoted; due to the general attitude that either color has towards our country's (U.S.) race relations since N.W.A. started making records. While I certainly didn't want another republican leading the nation, my original vote was for Hillary; I'm still very happy Obama did win the election and hope he does well! Even if the only reason is to show the rest country (& world) that "the man" would allow an African American to be president (even tho it's not the only reason) so playing the stupid "white man trying to hold us down" card is less effective; and that the whole mentality of strangers mean muggin' & having a grudge against me just because I'm honkey occurs less & less.
The best reason for Obama to be president is in the quote by a black man below:
"For me, it means that for all of those African-Americans who said the system kept us down, well, now, no matter what the system says, there's no more excuses," he said. "We truly can become anything we want."
If blacks in America take this election as proof that a black man truly CAN achieve anything he wants then I think this may be one of the best things that has ever happened to this country. (And I was in no way an Obama supporter)
If, however, blacks continue to lament that "the man" or "the system" is holding then down then I think it will be plain to see that they are their own problem and it's no one else's fault but their own. (You know- just like the rest of us.)
Carlos Mencia said it best- Every white man in America should vote for Obama because if he's elected the race card can never be played again.
I personally feel liberated now that I can tell the next black person who pulls the race card to SHUT THE FUCK UP.
I truly hope this election erases the unjustified inferiority complex black Americans have been holding on to for so many years.
ok now the next step for diversity.... "let's all work together and make the next astronaut to land on the moon an AIDs patient, and if we can put him on the moon why can't we put all of them on the moon" sarah silverman
People and this race card kill me. YES the non-racists folks have outnumbered the racists ones. But you DO realize that the republicans had 48% was it? of the vote.... Just about ALL of them are STILL RACISTS!!! And just because they lost, nothing is going to change the individuals who STILL HATE BLACK PEOPLE
Wow, just about all republicans are still racist. That MUST be why they didn't vote for a democrat this election. Every other election was because they blindly voted on the party lines but THIS time it was because the other guy was BLACK. OH and MUSLIM. Had nothing at all to do with his policies or ideas on how to implement them.
bigtam - do you realize how much credibility you lose when you assert that almost half the voting public in America are "...RACISTS..."?
Madam....this is a (for all practical purposes) two party system, and condemning one of them in its entirety as voting the way they did because they are "racist" is an assertion so absurd that it barely warrants attention.
Because you are a "...VERY succcessful Black woman (from the hood)..."others might see you as a listening point, a resource, a person "in the know", someone whose success gives strength to their opinions.
I think such a person undermines the efforts of so many who continue their efforts against bigotry. And, bigotry is not an exclusively white disease.
Barack Obama won because the majority of the American people think he is the better man for the job.
There is no need to denigrate those who thought differently.
OK fine CHAZ...maybe not ALL but I'm not "denigrating" anyone. A lot of republicans ARE racist. Hell... plenty of DEMOCRATS are racist... that's why we lost so many (estimated 22% when Barack won the primary).
WOW... That's right LOSERS! Blacks voted for Clinton, Dole, AND Kerry because THEY TOO ARE BLACK....
What's THAT NONSENSE all about? The ONLY reason... really???
helldiver - were 94% of Blacks racist when we voted for John Kerry? Why do you idiots keep saying that's the ONLY reason Blacks voted for Barack? I voted for Hilary in the primaries and I know plenty of Blacks who did. I live in OHIO... Hilary KILLED OHIO. When she lost the primaries do you honestly think we were gonna vote for another idiot? I mean republican... I mean BUSH the 3rd? I never said that republicans being racist has anything to do with this election so who (THE RACIST ONES) voted for in the past doesn't matter... they were racist in the past and they're racist now.
in the hood I heard the workers just kept opening and closing the curtain and twisting the Obama lever.. wow now that's a good way to get a guy to win.. barack obamaaaaaa yeahhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!
