i doubt it .... they got their ass kicked in Lebanon .... although they did manage to destroy the infrastructure of the country....in US planes from 30,000ft .... it's interesting, israel is the only country in the world who refuses to officially declare where their borders are, i guess that's because God gave them all the land ... During the period between 1967 and 2000, Iraq was the subject of 69 Security Council resolutions. By comparison, Israel, our closest "ally" in the Middle East, has been the subject of 138 resolutions. Not surprisingly, most of those resolutions call upon Israel to comply with basic principles of international law embodied by the UN Charter...... fascinating

Egypt and Israel fought a bitter war. Egypt agreed to recognize Israel and live peacfully beside her. And guess what, they have a border Israel recognizes and respects. Next?
hahahaha....they wouldn't fire rockets if the israelis would stop trying to steal land. and yes israel is still trying to steal more egyptian border land .... as late as feb 2009 air-strikes were carried out against civilian targets... by the way... i have no love for egypt. the guy who runs the place makes tony soprano look like a boy-scout, and he is no different than any other 2 bit dictator we support in that part of the world ... (vicious, tyrannical paranoid and actually quite stupid). a lot like sadam hussein ... but back to the pointif you look at the violence, systematic destruction of property rights and imposed poverty of the adjacent occupied territories you might be able to understand the peoples desperation .... israel needs to declare a border and stay on their side of it... i laugh when they say "we'll build a wall to protect us" then steal more land to do it ... look at a map showing the steady progression of israeli settlements in the palestinian areas. if someone stole your land wouldn't you fight back.... of course you would....in america we have a second amendment and plenty of firearms, we wouldn't have to rely on science project quality explosive rockets .... hahaha give miter 100 lbs of tannerite and a high powered rifle and he could make life miserable for a whole bunch of assholes....and there's a whole bunch of other people just like him... like me .... unfortunately the palestinians have no rights to keep and bear arms and so as always they will suffer ... i think it was george washington at valley forge who said..."men, remember you'll get as much shit as you'll take...." ok maybe he didn't exactly say that, but you know what i mean. the 2nd amendment isn't about hunting and fishing. too bad other countries don't understand that.... ....
Chuck - I agree about the settlements into Palestinian lands -- not good at all. However, it takes two to tango, and when you have a group of people vowing your destruction, it's hard not to be nervous...Tel Aviv elects governments from time to time that start to destroy Israeli settlements build by prior administrations for peace and then Hamas launches more attacks and the progressive government gets kicked out in favor of a firce nationalist one. On one side you have a country willing to discuss issues such as Jerusalem and how to create a Palestinian state...on the other, you have a government in power that refuses to accept your existence...hard to negotiate with that, don't you think?
History repeats itself. Europeans stole the Americas from the Native Americans and the they stole Palestine from the native people there too. It is always Religion, Bullets and Bull Shit.
