I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop and the lion to really start munching, with the sappy elevator music continuing to play. That would have been delicious black humour.
But then I am a guy who had chest pains a few weeks back and was told that it must have just been a bit of compassion that I felt for the first time.
Lions in the wild are fairly harmless to humans, mainly because, since 1880, people tend to be on top of Land Rovers when they see them.
Circuses are a different matter, however.
At the risk of boring the arse of you all, I'll relate a little story.
I was at a circus in Beziers in the late 1990s, and there was the usual thing - lions padding down an enclosed cage tunnel to the ring, where they were to be taunted by a pathetic lion tamer.
Well, one of the lions banged into the tunnel pretty hard, and burst the retaining bolts.
So, of course, it and the other three lions escaped into the audience.
Laugh? No. Run for your life? Yes.
They are big motherfuckers up close and very very scary, especially when they're roaring and salivating all over the place.
One was shot dead and the others were kind of coralled back into a safe area.
The smell of human shit was almost overpowering.
Well get busy and get a video of that hilarious episode on this site - sounds mounds more entertaining than the love fest of Christian reuniting with his hippy masters.
I have one other username, and have alwayed used it, but recent events(fartknocker, infinity, throbstickvscanuck) figured why not? besides I agree with you as far as wiped being an entertaining idiot, but what he needs badly is to kneel down before me and worship my cock. By the way, sweet tho this story is, the lion was nowhere near full grown when reunited. And NO way would a totally wild lioness have gotten anywhere near those people without attacking.

I agree Mako, probably the lions were based on a wildlife preserve of some sort and a little bit used to human contact. But, it was obvious the male lion they raised did remember them, and was happy to see them. It was a nice vid, seemed the two guys were happy to see the lion too. I liked it.
Its nice to see something positive for a change. Taking care of animals and protecting them from abuse should always be praised. Reminds of a lady that adopted a male lion from some abusive circus and after taking care of it she gave him to a local habitat. When she revisited him he remembered her and hugged her like a child would. The reporters were stunned. Animals have feelings.
