"WE" don't need to provide for our own people. Our own people need to provide for themselves. Government doesn't need to dictate how it's done. Period. Keep getting the government involved in everyones life and soon we'll have totalitarianism.
weirner i agree. let's understand what our federal governments job is and limit them to that. i don't think it's about taxing the people to death to pay for health and welfare of others, as it is now a middle class citizen works ~5.5 months a year for the government.. fuck that

Then I'm sure you'll be getting rid of all police forces; all fire departments; all of the military...and on and on and on.....etc. And why stop there? Let's get rid of the ENTIRE government as well.....who needs it???
You're complaining about "totalitarianism" re: universal health care.....but meanwhile, GWB has pretty well broken just about every written constitutional law ever written (illegal wiretapping, elimination of Habeous Corpus, torture, holding people without warrant or charge, etc.).
Seems to me that whether or not the U.S. government provides health care to its citizens is a moot point.......and while your busy doing the Kansas City Shuffle, they get away with it.

C - The same reason illegal immigrants get treatment, but not the hard working middle class Americans. I think they should get universal health care, especially if they are getting tased in the nuts for info. What's wrong with a little health care after that? I hope their office visit co-pay is at least $20.00, or I'll be pissed!
