The secret service guys looked like they were really earning their money that day, but they didn't catch the guy who swiped his watch.
I bet the body guards were slightly on edge that day. One guy with a pistol could have changed the world. I bet the pres has a bullet proof vest on though. A lot of Dem and Liberals would have been thrilled.

I agree with awake. although the story appeared on reuters you dont see any evidence of bush or the body gard interacting with the watch. Bush never made a move to take it off, nor did the body guard. although pictures are supplied on reuters, i was unable to zoom in to see the watch being "handed to a bodyguard".
If you look very closely at Bush's watch hand at 3:11 to 3:09 you can see someones hand snake out of the crowd and try to unfasten the watch.
As to Albania's police director and a Tiranan spokesperson denying the story? there's no possible way they could check every person in that crowd, or know for certain that the watch hadnt been stolen. I honestly think the story on Reuters is there just so our asinine president could save face.
Doesnt look right to me.. U cant see any american flags in the first one, and u can see 2 other flags.. on the NBC "revealing angle", there are 2 American flags Boom smack in there, and the other 2 cant be seen.
You won't convince the America haters that it happened any other way even if you were able to make them a fly on Bush's shoulder during the event. These people have very small and unsatisfying lives. I say "let them eat cake" if this is all it takes to pull them from the dismal ashes of their existances. Good one guys, good one..."Bush is an idiot"... how original.
