I think most sensible folks have realized by now, that she IS that ditsy. As a result, I'd have to concur with even a lot of Republicans that SHE'S the reason that McCains campaign went down the tubes.
Can't have a dolt like this, within fingers reach of the Oval Office.
What was all that bellyaching that you and HD were doing, about Obama being a "socialist"? Well, do you mean he'd be the same kind of "socialist"......that wrote your "Pledge of Allegiance"??:
"The Pledge of Allegiance was written in 1892 by Francis Bellamy (1855-1931), a Baptist minister, a Christian Socialist, and the cousin of Socialist Utopian novelist Edward Bellamy (1850-1898)."
You mean THAT kind of s "socialist"?? Riiiiiiiightt.
canucky the reasons that the republicans are loosing in the polls are.
Americans are tired of fighting wars for everyone else and being the hall monitor.
Americans are fed up with greed in America from the politicians and the leaders of Americans business
Americans are tired of their jobs being evaporated by Asians and Mexicans
Americans are afraid of getting sick then going broke.
Americans are afraid of what the weather does to them and the feds don't help with the aftermaths.
American whites are afraid of American blacks and Mexicans
I can go on but i wont Sarah Palin is the straw that broke the camels back
Nice try Canuck. Socialist back in 1892 didn't mean quite the same thing as today, especially Christian socialist. But aside from that, there was nothing terribly socialist about the words in the pledge of allegiance, except the original had no reference to God. The "under God" part wasn't added until 1954, which I'm sure people like you found terribly upsetting.
From Wiki: An early version of the salute, adopted in 1892, was known as the Bellamy salute. It ended with the arm outstretched and the palm upwards. Because of the similarity between the Bellamy salute and the Nazi salute, President Franklin D. Roosevelt instituted the hand-over-the-heart gesture as the salute to be rendered by civilians during the Pledge of Allegiance and the national anthem in the United States, instead of the Bellamy salute.
Now that saluting like a Nazi sounds more like a socialist to me.
Funny how borderline-torture-loving fanatics like HD can spin what "socialist" means. according whether it comfortably fits into their own self-serving definition, and when it suits them.
Oh? "Socialist" has been redefined? Why did nobody tell me of that?
Or is it more like you don't have a clear idea about it HD? Is it maybe that you are simply scared to find out that many of the things you belive in are wrong? The worst thing that can happen to you is that the dreaded candidate wins and actually improves your country. No revenge like being successful.
I didn't say Bellamy wasn't a socialist, hence the Nazi salute named for him. I said there was nothing socialist in the wording of the national anthem.
Now if the pledge of allegiance ended "With welfare and healthcare for all", that would be socialist. But Bellamy didn't say that. Just goes to prove that even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.
Hehehehe..
I was just thinking..
How much nicer it would be...
If that thing somehow suddenly became very heavy, right as those people touched it.
Also, this looks like something the Japs would do/did.
Well, it's election eve in the good ol' U.S. of A., and if indications are correct.....America will march into history tomorrow. All the power to them.
I DO find not-surprising that in light of the Anchorage Daily Newspaper endorsing Obama and NOT Her Royal Dimwitness.....I also find this from the Arizona Daily Star:
I'd have to say, that this former McCain spokesperson hit the nail on the head, with the following comments he made in this article:
"Whoever wins, this election is one of the most closely watched in recent memory, Harris said, and the inclusion of Obama on the ticket has generated a great deal of goodwill toward the United States.
"I have to say, even for someone who's not an Obama supporter, it's nice to have the world looking at the United States again without the level of disdain that they've had for the last eight years," Harris said. "And I think that ultimately that's actually good, not only for America's national security, but for national security all across the world."
