I still love logic !

Science H. Logic!

evolution is religion, not logic. its takes perfectly good science, and mixes in some fairy tale.

Intelligent and clever man, using one sided, rather flawed logic, which produces the flawed results he wants, and he drags you right along with him. Dr. Hovind also known as Dr. Dino (Former science teacher) would chew this guy up.

agreed. and he has, go to youtube, type in "hovind debate". you can watch a 2hr video where Hovind debates Sherman.

not logic. . .cynicism. . .there's a difference. He's a cynic. Cynics are typically sad people, see nothing decent or noble, and vote Democratic.

I was watching until he started kicking it on intelligent design . . . Scientists can't explain how a jellyfish works let alone tell us how far we are from the edge! I just don't understand certain things? If we are as they say 900 billion trillion quadrillion years old, then why is it that in just the past two thousand and eight years have we evolved so much? Technology, cave-man to astronaut. If everything has been around as long as they say I would expect more progression or as they would put it evolution! This among many reasons is why I go to a christian church and believe in heaven and earth and the fact that Jesus died for my sins on a cross so that I would have a way to enter the spiritual afterlife of heaven. There is no definite explanation for our genetic makeup, or any of the other species in our universe. The big bang theory is about the dumbest thing I have ever heard and any other farse that pulls people away from God is ridiculous. If you really sit back and think about things and how finite every single thing is then you don't have to second guess the Creator of all things we see, hear, and touch. There are always going to be people that give church and religion a bad name like the ridiculous tv preachers smacking people on the head and healing them to the Virgin Mary reflection on the building in this video. In the end, when no one on this earth is around you after you die, what are you going to argue then. There's no second chance when you die!
Sorry a little harsh but sometimes that is the only way to get through to people. I have friends that loved to party and have a good time and made fun of going to church. Now we all go to church together, we can still have party's and have fun, just a little more responsible party's that's all. Sometimes church isn't the answer for people, no biggie. I encourage you to at least own a bible and read it once a day or at least once a week so that you get a message or two to lead you through the week. Our dollar bill says "One nation under God" for a reason!

You're an ass. (Sorry a little harsh but sometimes that is the only way to get through to people.)

It's true that evolution does seem like a strange idea, along with the ideas of the Big Bang and the age of the universe that come with it. Evolution and the Big Bang are theories in the same way that gravity is a theory. Nothing in science is ever "proven." I am also Christian, but I don't feel that God wants us to abandon reason. I mean, should everyone really believe what was written thousands of years ago by people who thought the world was flat, and that rain came from the opening of floodgates in the sky?

By the way, in the past two thousand and eight years, we have evolved a great deal because we as a species have reproduced more in the past two millennia than in the rest of our history combined. Also, we weren't cavemen two thousand years ago, just so you know.

Hovind? HOVIND???!!!!!! He's a hack! I won't even say he uses junk science because it is NOT science! Why can't you understand this. Ok, you may choose not to believe in evolution, but follow the fact with an open and REASONABLE mind and you'll understand that it's the best we have for now.

Why is it that you accept the electricity that warms your bagels in the morning but when it comes the the origins of man all of a sudden science is a religion and is wrong and it's the devil's handywork?

I personally detest many things about religion especially when ppl believe sooo much in it they're willing to die or kill for it. A "religious" person is more likely to kill someone in the name of god than an atheist is willing for any belief. Simply because they understand that a belief is that and not worth the trouble of hurting anyone. but if you BELIEVE god is watching over you with his male son and holy spermbag "virgin" than who know what ur willing to do. It's happened forever so.

So I suggest you look at the arguments, really look at them. See who has what to gain from what and draw your own conclusions. On my behalf I think someone who accepts that everything he believes in can be destroyed by the idea of logic has more to lose and fears evolution and other sciences that would contradict god. (as if the bible doesn't contradict god enough sheesh!)
If evolution where incorrect than tons of more grants would go out to try other theories, that would is a great incentive not to go with evolution. find out another way! wow. but it doesn't happen cuz it's the most logical approach for now. Just read.

Peace to your mind, soul and loved ones.

No one said a word about dying for religion (where did that come from anyways????) Basically the guy in the video doesn't have a specific issue he's trying to prove or disprove except the probability of perception. The probability of someone being hinted toward one thing without another leads us to think unilaterally. The only thing you can't explain is the very beginning. This is what is referred to as the work of God. To disband Religion from everything is absolutely mindless.

Anyone with a fraction of a brain that thinks Religion has anything to do with dying for or killing is obviously mislead by western media exploiding the eastern satanists who claim to be involved in religion of positive nature (nothing anywhere true says that believing in God is associated with killing and dying). These "genius" idiots (oxymoron or not) found a way to control the weak, naieve, minded individuals that think they're doing a positive thing in the name of God (which to every culture that has anything to do with is positive in nature. ie. not killing or suicide).

Being that most of us reading this are in the Western Hemisphere it is accurate to state: We are afforded ("afforded" meaning the difference in knowledge that allows us to choose right from wrong knowing both sides unbiased) the brain power to know that the above paragraph is an accurate and true statement.

Evolution is true... but it's not graphed like the unknowing teachers in school try to describe it. It's like a really gradual pitch until human beings began to develop rapidly with technology and now it's going much faster much quicker. This looks more like a line drawn on a piece of paper from left to right being the last little bit of the paper... that has that line... hangs a pitching curve sharp toward the top right corner. This my friend is why we've come from stone hammers thousands of years ago up until a few hundred years ago to steel hammers to robots using precision hammers for us.

Get educated and don't stop being educated. God bless! Oh yeah..... for those of you that don't believe in God..... He gave you the choice to choose that way *wink.* I cast no judgement to you.

Just FYI, based on my current 'about me' posting. Do not lump me in a random category based on 'tarot reading'. Since I began reading tarot cards I have been the worst skeptic ever. Which I truly began when I was nine years old. I have a theory which will upset many a believer, but it's my true feeling. Human beings apparently only communicate 20% with their words. The remaining 80% is through body language, scent, and maybe a few subconscious thoughts. When I give a reading I look at my cards as a simple catalyst (the knowledge I gain is through the other 80%. I never swindle or cheat. I have never accepted money nor have I been offered. I do believe I connect on a different level with my Seeker at the best of times, however I admit that is not a common occurrence.) There is nothing more nothing less. Funny, after typing that last comment I must admit I still retain a small hope of something more to our whole existence. But I digress, to be able to appease my spiritual side and my clinical side I have been forced to view my Tarot Cards as a Catalyst, a conduit and area of focus for both myself and the person sitting in front of me. The few times I have gone for a reading for myself it has been due to extreme issues which I felt I had no control or direction over. I think a lot of people who explore this avenue do so for similar reasons. Also, when I used to give readings, especially for my Mother, who has never been open to this kind of thing, I think of myself as a mirror. Simply reflecting what they know is true from within (on some level) and giving them the reassurance to go with their 'gut' instinct. So many times we know what we need to do, or want to do but it's not always easy..........we all like easy. I sometimes give people the push that they want (at worst). Maybe, I sometimes open a doorway (at best). What's that famous quote.......something like 'there lies more between heaven and earth than we know'. I dunno, someone thought the earth was flat at one point in time.

I realize I've ranted far too long, but I would be remiss (is that a word) if I didn't include the fact that I wish I could call the wind, I wish I could dance with faireys, I wish I could swim on golden water, I wish I could fly, I wish, I wish, I wish.... so I have my mind in science but my spirit soars on the wind. Actually, if I soared on the wind (murphey's law) I would hit a downdraft and plummet to the earth, probably. Anyways, my dad's spiritual my mom's not. That pretty much explains me, sorta.
