Ironic in what way? Are you saying that the Penguin is using the old Republican guilt by assosciation attack? Why, I never thought of it that way before... Hallelujah, I have seen the light!
So when Obama has been hanging out with Weather Underground terrorist and communist Bill Ayers, and Reverend "God Damn America!" Wright, Obama is really being a superhero, battling terrorism and religious fanaticism! I get it finally!
But shouldn't we hear at least an occasional "Kapow!" as Obama battles these dark forces? I must have missed that. But lets get Obama fitted for tights, and send him to Afghanistan pronto!
so HELLdiver... you're saying that since Obama served on the same board as Ayers that he's palling around with them? And wasn't the Weather Underground active before Obama was even old enough to know what it was? Or was he born yet? Are you truly hanging on to criticisms that have not merit just like your fearless leader Palin? lol
It is so sad that about half of my country's citizens are so friggin stupid!
Well I've already explained this is other posts. I'm not saying Obama is a terrorist by association. Thanks for the insult by the way, do you even know me? While its true Ayers did his criminal activity when Obama was a wee little lad, Obama was all growed up when he chose to work with Ayers and accept his political support. Surely he discovered Ayers radical terrorist and communist past at some point along the way, but chose to continue working with him.
Then you have the Reverend Wright, that Obama had to disassociate himself with for his radical comments, after Obama had attended his church for 20 years. Surely this man had influence on Obama.
And you have his own wife saying she's proud of her country for the first time, after having some kind of epiphany. Surely she had influence on Obama.
Any one of these might be discountable, but you have a pattern of the most influential people in Baracks life being radical, and not sharing the same opinion of America that at least I do. I don't know about you. So I'm not too sure I trust him representing America's best interests. Not saying he's a bad guy or a terrorist. But he probably doesn't share my vision of what's best for this country.
Considering we're at war, I'd also prefer my president to have considerable experience in military and foreign policy matters, like McCain, vs having none at all, like Obama.
Obama may make a fine president some day. I'm voting for McCain this go round. And before you get into a slather attacking Palin, remember that Obama is running against McCain.
So Web, you've failed to notice our recent military activities in both Iraq and Afghanistan? Usually when we send the US military to other countries, and end up killing members of rival military groups, that at least qualifies as a police action or conflict. Are you saying the "war" is over? Or does the term "war" not apply when the opponent is not another state? But lets call it an "aggressive imperialist occupation action", I'd still prefer a president with some military and foreign policy experience to be CinC, unless you're simply committed to withdrawing all US military forces at any cost?
I realize McCain is as exciting as watching paint dry, but does anyone share my concern with Obama's radical associations? Or do you simply not care? Obama will be the man in charge of the worlds most powerful military and nuclear arsenal, not to mention the largest economy in the world, and most of our futures. Is a radical socialist really what you want? (Canadians and Germans need not respond, since you have already chosen a socialist government).
So did anyone else watch Palin's stint on SNL, and think this is about the lamest thing ever? She barely spoke. The skits with Palin pretty much only used her as prop. As least McCain talked a while when he was on. I thought it could have been much better.
Thanks for the link. Not that all of these allegations are true, or maybe in Obama's control. There is an obvious bias to it. But enough are true to cause concern, or demand explanation. I think the media won't actually look at Obama objectively until after he's elected president, than all kinds of crap may come out.
So if he's so "scary", and so "suspicious" (over things that HAVE been debunked; that HAVE been explained)......then how come he was endorsed by Colin Powell? Or is Powell now dirt in your eyes?
Powell is an honorable man, that doesn't mean I always have to agree with him, just like I don't always have to agree with McCain. I don't think Obama is scary, I think McCain is more qualified.
And I do think the media has very much helped create the Obamamessiah, with little coverage or deep digging into anything negative about Obama, because the majority of the media are liberals.
Good question. I didn't like GWB in 2000, but I couldn't stand robot tree-hugging Gore. I still didn't like GWB in 2004, but I really couldn't stand Kerry the defeatist. I'd have to answer your question with this: GWB has been president for 8 years, because the Democrats have failed to produce a single qualified candidate for president until now.
