This is not child abuse, I wouldn't take it as far as he did, but all this can do to the child is make him a little high. There was hardly any strain to his neck. His arms won't come off, but his shoulder joints could give himsome trouble later on.

Anyway Obama , here in Great Britain, he's swept the nation, everyone i speak to, (this is limited to, my wife, the bloke at work, the man in the shop, my old mate Doug, my daughter and my bro) all love him, he's articulate, confident, engaging, seems honest.
But to be fair, McCain with respect has nothing on him as a speaker whatever his politics. I would say this is the biggest problem for the republican's. Obama is connecting with the don't knows and the don't cares.

If you honestly think special effects weren't involved in the the production of this video... you shouldn't be on glumbert. Part of the reason the internet is such a great medium for spreading viral media is that people are used to "low quality" video. All you have to do is swing something around with equal weight/shape to a small baby that is masked in an easily replaceable color (common: neon green/blue) replace with computer generated baby. Splice in clips of the real child playing with his father for added realism. Then garnish the video with a low quality finish so that it appears to be "legit" when in actuality they're making up for the technical imperfections in their editing work. Simple, yet so convincing.

Assuming you're right and the video is 100% legit, with no editing ... then how come the baby is laughing and smiling at the end? Wait, maybe you stuck your head up your ass for that part.
I've seen many videos made like this, and the techniques used to make them.
Alright mickle, in all fairness I re-watched and scrutinized the vid, if this is faked with chroma keying then it's a good one, worthy of an academy award! It would've taken weeks of 16 hour days to create, and some pretty darn expensive editing software! I Just don't think so...besides, grabbing Joe the plumber junior would be a lot easier!
I went off on "you" because you sound like another one of those people that cry fake at everything they can't believe is on the web, i.e. in denial, or head up ones ass. So I'm sorry if I ruffled your feathers, it wasn't really a personal attack, just a blanket statement to those who yell FAKE!
If you want proof look for the subtle black outline around the baby/child/whatever when he swings him up. Look specifically at the legs. Also, the velocity at which he is "swinging" the baby when its directly over his head. Yes, It's a decent fake, there are just too many editing residues left behind. It still passes for real to some though, so it accomplishes its task. The artist behind the video (whoever that is) did realize in order to pass it off to "joe the plumber" who might be watching he would have to put low quality filters over the video to help cover up the residues... but I've already talked about that.
Oh ...and for the record. I've never bothered calling out fake on any other video before. The reason is, you're right this one is a convincing video while many others are so blatantly poor that its easy to tell they're fake... This was one of the only times I thought it would be worthwhile to say anything, because there are sooooo many people that are convinced its real.
In all honesty I don't care if its real or fake. Just pointing things out that seem pretty clear to me.

I'm not usually one for criticism of daring behaviour but , that was hard to watch ... having two little ones at home just over that age.
That father is a moron so now his boy will also suffer from brain disfunction , too bad it didn't stop the breeding first pass.
The only thing I can think of is that there are three points during the video where hyperextension of the shoulder joint would be an issue. Tendons aren't fully formed in a child that age(6-10 months) so tearing wouldn't be an issue. Not to mention kids that age are still incredibly flexible. I would worry about the brain bouncing around though.
Abuse! Have you ever heard of Shaken Baby Syndrome?? A baby that small is not suppose to be thrown around like that. A baby's brain can not take that. The baby may think he/she is having fun but, that's why they have parents to protect them. Not to mention pulling the baby's arm out of socket. These things really do happen people!
This guy is an idiot. And needs to be locked up for treating a child like that.

THERES ONLY ONE WAY TO TELL IF THIS IS FAKE! If you have a child that age, grab him by the arm and swing him around your head. If u hear snapping and tearing noises followed by the baby screaming then the video is probably fake. If ur kid laughs then its real.
ugh, this video makes me physicaly ill... to see the baby's head whip around and his spine tork ugh... I'm so pissed at this guy that if I knew him I would lower myself to his standards and would inflict bodily harm on this guy and bask in every second of it.....
