David is nine (looks like six) and bore a burden Connie did not - and autism is real, and can be heartbreaking. While he may be emerging from that awful scourge, our admiration for him is twofold motivated - his talent (on pitch, but without Connie's vibrato, which might come later), and his (hopefully) successful struggle to attain normalcy...and much more.
They are both winners, of course. Won't it be interesting to watch how either and/or both will develop?
As for me, I judge them both winners today....tomorrow is up to each of them.
