I hereby Post first!! under article 125 section 4 paragraph 6 ! Any glumerterians failing to claim posting first after doing thereof,so gives up that post or any claim of post thereafter on the thread thus in dispute!!
Pilots are important but honestly when people think of travel they think pilots first and almost exclusively. Its very easy to forget about controllers
Stress is the sum of incompetence - if it stresses you, you are in the wrong business. Actually ATC Controller is the second best - way behind being a military pilot
While I completely agree with the first part of your post, the second is true only if you're VFR. Otherwise, I'm in charge my friend, no matter how many military pilots are on freq.
HOLY SHIT! I worked with Demetrios (Beak the Greek) at Shady 'J' AFB 25 years ago..or so... Wow, and here he is on Glumbert. As the narator says, most good controllers, having once reached the pinnacle of being a good controller, can imagine doing nothing else. It is the ultimate high and the ultimate job.
